Again, the sad howls of a cat when the human is not being a wet-food vending machine. She was fed a few hours ago, has dry food in her bowl and was given a piece of chicken. Still she is letting the whole house know she is starving. I'll have to go to the grocery store for more, but not on demand.

Since college is starting back up, I have noticed how easy it is to spot the Freshmen in downtown Iowa City. Due to their tendency to stare at people. We have a diverse community and more than a few eccentric types, but still.

A comfort dish I have been enjoying lately is the simple egg and cheese quesadilla, fried until crispy on the outside. Diced onion or tomato or other things if I already have them precut, and salsa. 🍽️ (eaten before pictures could be taken)
