If there was any justice, 'Welsh TikTok' would be called, 'PoptyPing,' but that name has already been taken by a superb record label @poptypingrecds.bsky.social

shitline- why has an influencer sparked a row on welsh tiktok?

You know that thing when you really love a band and see them many times and once fly half way round the world to watch them play a bar in St Kilda and then 25yrs later they buy your records?well yes exactly that. What a bloody lovely thing x

I wore mine in Toronto this past weekend and my son was like, "Do you wear a Popty Ping shirt everywhere we go?" (I have 3, so kinda yeah.) And then I told him how one day there will be a Christmas one, and I'll buy that too. (When's that one coming, btw?)

like great radio? (I genuinely do). BBC 4 extra currently has the original 83 version of When the Wind Blows (the radio play version of the Briggs book) on BBC Sounds. starring Peter Sallis & Brenda Bruce it's a world away from the same voice as Wallace / Grommit. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

In more new music news, I reckon Cliffords to be the best thing from Cork since the Frank and Walters (or maybe Fight Like Apes). I really like this, track down their 12" if you can, it'll soon prove a smart financial investment www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdDg...

Add some Spin Doctors** and you’d genuinely have the worst music in the world. **substitute Jive Bunny if preferred. A horrific cacophony will occur either way

I’m not wanting to boast but we’ve sold so many copies of the back catalogue of records after the Murder Club release that there are no longer any boxes of records in my spare bedroom wardrobe…. (Still many boxes under the bed though - buy them, god they’re great)
