as disinterested as i am about hexed as a movie release i'm actually really excited about the release of it's artbook. i feel it's going to be yet another frustratingly fascinating look into how disney Corporate™️ keeps kneecapping and homogenizing disney Creative™️ out of fear of making any statement

thought it would be cute to check out the pokemon target event with my daughter but now i'm being warned that it might be unsafe for her due to the anticipated crowd.

see this to me feels on the same level of complaining about mickey mouse on disney merch where i understand why Brand Recognition™️ demands it but i am also sick of the rat

Star✧Salts ✨ @popsalts.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

here's my general ranking of how i perceive pokemon merch: gen one slop: charizard, gengar, mewtwo acceptable gen one: dragonite, slowpoke, ditto basic but it's fine: non-kanto starters, mimikyu, all eeveelutions true ball knowers: flygon, chandelure, absol I Respect and Trust You: any crab pokemon

along with an endless myriad of reasons why, we need to get scalpers out of the pokemon community just so that maybe MAYBE one day we will get a north american merch collab that features pokemon other than charizard, gengar, and mewtwo.

I was so pressed about not having an appropriate bag for the Undertale concert that I decided to fashion one out of the Fangamer Annoying Dog pillow and it worked surprisingly well!

Like, they made so many cute adverts for around the city and surely, they would make those into postcards?? But no! Not even stickers! I won’t stand for this slight against the scrapbooking community. There are literally dozens of us.

And my Pokecenter Haul! tbh this year was a bit of a disappointment in terms of the products on offer. The minimal variety of utilitarian merchandise, the lack of stationary products, and literally no clothing with a feminine cut felt like a such a huge oversight.

Others have said it previously, but I love how this promotional image from the 1990 Stephen King's IT looks like a prestige drama courtroom show, that just so also happens to involve a clown.

we wanna do every gen in order as her birthday tradition (ie. gen 2 for her 2nd birthday and so on) so we've got at least a decade planned! 🌟💜

Ohhh it's looking great! I love how even tiny little accents add so much more life and character 🌟

This momentous occasion and entire past year fill me with more emotions than a 300 word skeet can convey. At the end of the day the strongest feeling is that of gratitude; for my partner, our friends, our family, our supporters, and, of course, our thriving baby girl. 💖 Thank you all so much!

It reminds me a lot of The Peanuts Movie in that I feel the models actually capture the spirit of the characters really well. But I still would have preferred both films in 2D. Ah well, I will be seated regardless. 🍿

Not to be an adult voicing their unwanted opinion on a children’s movie but I am a little bummed out that we’re missing a rare opportunity to have a new, high-budget 2D animated film back in theaters.

send this to your artist friends who are stuck on Twitter and are having trouble branching out

edit of the "Look Man He Helped Me Through a Very Tough Time" meme

The guy on the left representing X/Twitter is yelling "I LOVE GRADUALLY ENSHITTIFYING MYSELF WITH A SIDE OF CSAM"

the guy next to him, representing "artist (totally not stockholmed at all)" is telling a concerned person on the right with a cap on "look man it's the only website where I have reach, the changes aren't that bad you just gotta respect it."

I usually try to do the lines with one, fairly thick stroke of paint and then touching it up with a much smaller brush! It’s a very start-stop process but I find it easier than using a stencil (especially on super textured walls.)
