This was a really fun seed to play while not following logic, so it should be really interesting to see how we're expected to play it!

Has to cut day 1 of the anniversary stream short due to storms and losing power. Thankfully my UPS kept things running long enough to let everyone know what happened, sign off properly, save my progress, and shut down my computer safely. I'll be back tomorrow morning!

(1/3) I've been an Affiliate on #Twitch for 5 years now! Due to life events, I was forced to postpone my celebration streams until this coming weekend, July 3-5. This will be a weekend of randomizers, mostly Zelda and Metroid, possibly a retro shuffler, and also finishing up Yakuza 3: Dark Ties.

At 6:00PM EDT, @jerrock13 and I will be live on our Twitch channels to raise money for the Rebuild Nepal Education Foundation, through @randomizer4good. Come hang out while we play a Link to the Past multiworld with lots of terrible (and some good) settings, all guaranteed to be interesting!

So nice to have reliable cell service on Amtrak's NEC again. Although if I'm being honest, it's not just on Amtrak. Literally everywhere I go is better since leaving Verizon.

As I begin my 4th day of using my iPhone for everything, I’m already missing Android so much. I absolutely LOVE the reception and battery life of my 14 Pro Max compared to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. But little things drive me nuts… 1) Notifications 2) Personalization Details in next posts.

I'm getting really pissed off at my Pixel 9 Pro XL's battery life. I've been unplugged for less than 6 hours, and with barely anything more than some Spotify streaming, I'm at 53% battery. Some days, I wonder if I should have left Samsung.

Headed to DC for a short work trip. It was just announced that my Amtrak train is "rescuing" a cancelled train in Philadelphia. 200+ additional passengers boarding at the next stop. Business Class w/ guaranteed seating is always good, but now it's REALLY good!!

Want to watch someone fumble through a Zelda game, having no idea where they're going? Well you can do that tonight around 6:30 PM EST over at twitch.tv/pool_float_g! I'll be playing Zelda 1 Randomizer with the "Blackout" setting on. All dungeons are dark, and the candle won't illuminate them.

This little guy spent 5 years living at a rescue after being surrendered by his family for being too loud (purring). Several adoption attempts fell through because he was "timid and shy". He's been with us in his forever home since April. His sister even tolerated him (only when we're not looking).

1 year and ~100 lbs. lighter (only 2 of those are from the beard). Feeling pretty damn good already, but I'm not about to stop now! 5-6 days a week in the gym since May. Sorry for crap image quality. I don't take many pictures of myself, so I had to screengrab from my 4K stream recordings.

The Z1R grind is going better than I expected. Still averaging 1:45-2:30 per seed depending on the flags, but I need to remember that I've played maybe 25 seeds. It'll be a long time until I can get 1:00-1:15 like the pros. Combat was by far my weakest part, but it's improved so much in 4 weeks.

Pool Float @poolfloatg.bsky.social · 22/05/2025

I'm taking a break from competitive Zelda 3 Randomizer. Why? Because I kinda suck. I'll still be playing casually, but I'm just not at the level required for competitive play. I'll still be playing in the occasional group race, and playing solo/multiworlds with lots of goofy settings.

Need some good vibes for our kitty cat, Carmen Kittiago (name explained in next post). Took her to the vet after unusual weight loss and throwing up. Diabetes. She's only 5. Mrs. Float lost her job, so we really need this to be not only treatable, but affordably. Money was already extremely tight.
