We're welcoming the weekend with a new sketch for the book. Whoever guesses all the references can confidently guess the next Discworld character (only the ones who weren't there). #character #cartoon #art #antonalexandrov #pontpilat #gamedev #wimmelbuch #bookillustration

It's a day off, so we're drawing a new character from Terry Pratchett's Discworld! I'm drawing Baron Saturday on video. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether it worked or not. #antonalexandrov #art #pontpilat #discworld #gameart #gamedev #timelapse #speedpaint

I'm still trying out AI. I'm still not sure it's worth using in my work, although the results are certainly interesting. The concept art of the characters is mine. #antonalexandrov #art #character #плоскиймир #discworld #пратчетт #cartoon #gameart #gamedev #pontpilat #AI #aiart #aigenerated

I reread "Fatal Music." The final chase scene really struck me. I thought, "Let me do that." But I don't have a whole cast of characters for it yet. So I started with Glod concept. #pontpilat #antonalexandrov #art #cartoon #плоскиймир #пратчетт #gameart #gamedev #discworld #character #glod

I've been circling around him for a while because he's a strange character (for those who don't know, he's a troll that was sat on by an elephant, making him shorter than a dwarf). #pontpilat #antonalexandrov #art #cartoon #character #плоскиймир #discworld #пратчетт #gameart #gamedev #asphalt

I actually once illustrated a book set in the Terry Pratchett universe. "And Yet the Turtle Moves" was published in Russia, and I illustrated the cover. #pontpilat #antonalexandrov #art #cartoon #character #плоскиймир #discworld #пратчетт #gameart #gamedev #fantasy #book

An old drawing. I had the idea to make a series of characters, but the style turned out to be a bit awkward. I'm more inclined toward a comic book style. #pontpilat #antonalexandrov #art #cartoon #плоскиймир #пратчетт #gameart #gamedev #fantasycharacter #russianfairytales

I'm showing you a test print of the first spread of my book. I was worried that the abundance of small details would make it impossible to see anything, but everything turned out fine. #pontpilat #antonalexandrov #art #cartoon #character #gameart #gamedev #wimmelbuch #book #illustration

Friends! I've long been in love with Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld universe! Today I'll show you a trailer for the Discworld cartoon, which I made with my own hands and robots. Unfortunately, such a cartoon doesn't exist; this is just a fantasy of how I would have made it. #discworld #pontpilat

So, while January drags on, the book is still being drawn. I printed out a page on A4 size and realized I'd overdone it with the detail. I had to redo it and enlarge it by 15%. #cartoon #art #antonalexandrov #pontpilat #gameart #character #gamedev #book #wimmelbuch #illustration
