The autistic genius stereotype is dangerous for *many* reasons, but a less talked about reason is that it discredits all the anxiety, planning, strategising, effort and strife behind our achievements. Calling us ‘geniuses’ makes it sound like all that we achieve comes easily. It really doesn't.

*sigh* Anyway, just create. Write shit, draw shit, build whatever you want, that's the important part. There's no be-all end-all formula for the Perfect Work. Just be YOU. No one can ever create what YOU create b/c it's you making it, and you are the only you.

It wouldn't be fair if I let Inuyasha out of this one 🫰 Tbh I wanted to work on Shippo and Kirara's sticker designs, but I'm not sure if I'm up for it just yet. Let me know if that would be something you'd like to see tho! 🥲 . #inuyasha #fanart #animeart #animefanart #digitalart #myart

Don’t know who needs to hear this but go ahead and use those good art supplies because if you manage to survive the apocalypse you can just scavenge replacements from a dead artist’s hoard.

I need a permanent out of office message that reads: "I'm autistic and will need more time than you might expect to process your message and find the best way to respond in a way that won't somehow alienate or offend you." but I don't think I'm allowed to do that.

And sometimes you turn me into miso soup. The weight of your embrace is shattering, so heartwarming it sends shivers up my spine from the most unused corners of my heart. It moves through my fault lines, sifting the hardened earth away, making space for all the tears I’ve stuck under my skin.
