It's a threat - if the GOP loses control of both Houses without interference from the DOJ, FBI, ICE...then in line with his other acts of retribution he will make the lives of American citizens miserable. Americans should know by now, he just doesn't care about US citizens.

Given that Trump's tariffs have been identified as equivalent to raising taxes by the SCOTUS, Democrats should seize on this and hammer home to Americans that Trump has RAISED their taxes - a winning message for Dems. Put the GOP on the defense to try argue that this is somehow not the case.

I'm surprised that Democrats have not taken more advantage of the opportunity to relate to Americans how Trump has in fact raised their taxes by just rebranding them as tariffs. The SCOTUS has agreed that tariffs are taxes, and selling the message that Trump raised taxes is a winning message.

It's difficult to grow an economy when you shield corporations from taxes yet raise the taxes of everyday Americans by disguising them and rebranding them as tariffs "others pay". If Trump came out and said that he was raising taxes, GOP would freak-out, yet raising taxes via tariffs is ok??

The constant would explain roughly a 30-70 split, meaning that the Senate would be nowhere as close as it is. Most of the Senate races are about a 50/50 split, so about 20% outside of the Constant - longstanding GOP voters who don't recognize the gravity of the situation?
