Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 16/09/2026Does anyone else use atabook? I got a weird message this week trying to stir drama. I know the user and there is no controversy there, and I can't find any other reference online. Note that the core intent is to get me to remove someone's button. Weird anti-neocities drama psyop? 421
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 19/08/2026From a reverse image search, it looks like they're from a maker called "the king's clay sculptor", and each one is sculpted from polymer clay (or made to look like it is). They're roof tiles for protective cat guardians. item.rakuten.co.jp/miyashop-01/... 350
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 17/08/2026How are you deciding the alternatives to words? I got some strange ones today. I don't dislike it. 010
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 14/08/2026Ashley Grant: You grabbed me in the car! Homer: Oh that, No! I was just grabbing the 1988 Topps neon green ankylosaurus that got stuck to your pants! Woman: Yeah right, that's the oldest excuse in the book! 060
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 13/08/2026Best I can offer is a poorly worded instruction that we must go to a mandatory high-stakes social event for eight hours directly after work where there are screaming children and no dinosaurs and the implication that you're being difficult if you refuse. 110
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 11/08/2026*sigh* Alright, attempt three. This time I'll screenshot it. 160
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 09/08/2026It's incredible how The Simpsons S05E09 "The Last Temptation of Homer" aka "The Mindy Episode" so accurately portrayed bulk ordering plastic dinosaurs from Ebay. 1122
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 21/07/2026Another for #ThickTrunkTuesday - "The Man Who Planted Trees". I was given this copy in 1995 by my parents. It follows the story of Elzeard Bouffier, a shepherd who planted oak trees to repair the land of Provence in the 1950s. This edition is enhanced with the now-famous woodcuts by Michael McCurdy. 0182
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 21/07/2026For this #ThickTrunkTuesday, I'd like to present for your enjoyment "INTO THE FOREST" by Anthony Browne, one of the all time greats for tree illustration. The book depicts a forest twisted and overgrown. Delightful to explore with the eyes and +5 horror mental damage. 091
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 06/07/2026omg you hit all my bullet points, thanks so much for being observant. I purposefully included my repeats, because you can see the change in the moulds over time. The ones in/out of packet are for display reasons - I like to give them context. The plesiosaur is a Topps 1988 piece. Also disclaimer: 070
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 24/06/2026I made a card for @outerdog.bsky.social's card template project! You can read more about the project on the fan page I made: polyducks.neocities.org/miki-card/ #fototradin 2629
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 17/06/2026It used to be good, and that's why it was widely used. I don't know why this has changed. This page will be published later once I've had a chance to tidy it up, but here's some initial tests. 210
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 22/05/2026I finally finished my virtual pet widget for people to use on their indie websites. EGGPET! eggpet.neocities.org #indieweb #neocities #y2k 1224089
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 19/05/2026I'm not too keen on the sharpening artefacts, but when you see detailed establishing shots like this it's hard not to admire the higher quality version. 040
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 19/05/2026So far the only discrepancy has been a slightly longer pause for the ad break, and the higher quality one seems to have a slight crop on top and bottom. However, the new one doesn't have any interlacing issues which is making the animation SNAP. The linework improvement is noticable on detail scenes 110
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 19/05/2026Sometimes when you've had a tough day you have to check your rips of the Simpsons by watching the Mindy Episode side by side in different qualities. Below is the newest copy in 1080p, but the 360p copy still has a place in my heart. 130
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 14/05/2026Have you ever thought: "Wow Polyducks, you're so cool and interesting. How are you making these Simpsons memes on your decade-old iphone at 4am?" Well, wonder no longer. The answer is "painfully and with lots of hacks". 5170
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 13/05/2026I watch the Mindy episode the same way people listen to music. 181
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 13/05/2026I made a page template today so I could collect jpegs in an album on my website. I scanned in a vinyl pouch, then used it as a mask for itself to make it transparent. Now I have a png and some slots to place items into. It just needs a bit of JS magic. 3170
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 12/05/2026Haha I had to do a seven hour train journey twice this weekend. When I get stressed I watch comfort media, and S05e09 is my comfort episode. I often stream Simpsons for my friends and they complain when I put it on. It's a mix of those things, and I made most of these memes on the train. 010
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 11/05/2026Here's the exploitable image. It's just repainted on my phone, so don't get too excited. 010
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 10/05/2026We must imagine Sisyphus happy and endlessly rewatching s05e09 of the Simpsons "The Last Temptation of Homer" 4212
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 09/05/2026Yes, GB, GBC and NES have 2bit art. They have four colour values per tile. The bitness refers to how the art is stored as a file. Technically all sprites below are 2bit. Left is black, grey, white and transparent. Right is 2 sprites layered over each other, with 3 plus transparent per sprite (6+2t) 150
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 07/05/2026Look @mossworm.bsky.social it's Homa Thripson (This is a very long train journey) 070
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 07/05/2026Real quote from R.L. Stein's "Tick Tock You're Dead" where you have to watch S05e09: "The Last Temptation of Homer" aka "The Mindy episode" on repeat for the rest of your life. #goosebumps #simpsons 0101
Polyducks @polyducks.co.uk · 03/05/2026Nokia Art Jam 4 and Tamagotchi jam are over, and thus begins the work of displaying the results. I'm working with @batfeula.bsky.social to make an interactive entries browser. 35712
