The best views are litter free! 🚯 We aren't short of beautiful scenery in Wales, but litter is often left behind to spoil the view. On a national level, we provide evidence to support the implementation of policies like DRS & EPR to prevent litter and keep Wales a 10/10 😍

1 year until the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) launches across the UK! Our #GLÂN survey data shows that drinks litter was found on over 70% of publicly accessible spaces across Wales last year. A DRS will reduce and prevent litter, improve recycling and help move us toward a circular economy ♻️

Bins are a great #litter prevention tool if they are used correctly. If there is no bin or if the bin is full, take your litter home. 🚯 Overflowing bins or side waste can have huge impacts on our environment. We'll take responsibility for our litter, will you? 🌍 #MakeMemoriesNotMess 🧵2/2

Where has #GLÂN taken us this month? Every month between April & November, we carry out litter surveys in every local authority across #Wales 🗺️ Sometimes, we are lucky enough to visit our national parks, castles, lighthouses & coastal paths! Where do you think we counted the most #litter? 🤔

Since 1 June 2025, GLÂN data shows that #vaping litter hasn't changed much across Wales. 📊 So far, we've seen a small decrease in single use vapes, but we are still seeing the same number of reusable vapes, and an increase in refill pods. The 2026 survey season isn't over, so watch this space! 😎
