Two Class 47s in three days at Hadley Wood! First was 47727 with extraordinary clag hauling 379030 on 5Q35 Worksop Receptions to Hornsey Depot. Then today came 47832 on "Thunderbird" duty after rescuing a stranded Class 717 unit from Drayton Park.

An electrical failure in the Finsbury Park area, affected trains all through the second half of the morning today, and this Class 717 unit in particular found itself stranded. After waiting for over four hours, it was rescued and 'wrong roaded' back to Hornsey Depot under 1Z99. And soon after, the locomotive returned back northwards on 0Z99 passing Hadley Wood at 14:40.

Unexpectedly spent yesterday afternoon around Southend-on-Sea, and popped over to Chalkwell while there. I found one of c2c's refreshed Class 357s, attempted to take some seafront photos from Gipsy Bridge before the weather turned sour, and got a few good photos of buses at Southend Bus Station. 👍

Class 379s enter passenger service out of King's Cross!! Today - 10/02/2025 - marks the beginning of the handover of Great Northern's regional services from 387s to 379s. The first working being the 17:24 1L48 London King's Cross - Letchworth Garden City utilising units 379002 + 379022.

Big day out yesterday! A number of freight trains, a Class 92 drag and other interesting things including 390200 (390016) in service. Even ended up in Elephant & Castle by the end of the day, completing the Bakerloo Line for the first time. Additionally, Monday will be added to the upload schedule!

Train manufacturers are biding over the replacement of Northern's Sprinters under their program to replace 2/3 of their diesel fleet. The contractors include Siemens, Stadler, Hitachi, Alstom and CAF with the new units seeing introduction by 2030 and replacing the Class 150, Class 155 and Class 156.

Was this a good use of my time...yes. Was this worth staying up overnight to produce...hmmm debatable. So, I decided to mark down some of the areas I'd like to visit in the the future, as well as every station that has appeared in my videos up to this point and I'm seeing a couple of patterns here.
