I've only had 13 preorders for Hurt Sounds. I've had a tough time getting the word out due to being in the hospital and then recovering from septic shock and an infected kidney stone. Preorders are only open until July 18 and at this point, I'm not even halfway to the bare minimum to go to print.

Next Wed is the anniversary of my dad’s death from sepsis as a result of kidney cancer. Next Wed I’m having surgery for the kidney stone that caused septic shock. It’s…unnerving. Anyway, would you pls preorder the chapbook I wrote about his death? It won’t fix it but it might make me feel better.

So anyway hi from me, an “uncomfortable cramp” Friday morning turned into emergency surgery at 1a for an infected kidney stone that went septic like, real quick, and I’ve spent the last few days in the ICU. I’m home now but jeez. Don’t mess with any of that ever. No fun. Zero stars.
