One of my neighbours is playing music really loud. I got really annoyed so I opened my window and discovered it was Bon Jovi so my annoyance level fell instantly and now I'm listening to old rock songs with a smile. I hope they are having a great time. What a journey this post was 😂

So I did another fall today and had to be carried to bed. (All fine now, only slight leg pain remaining 😀) I'm getting better at not feeling like a complete burden to everyone when incidents like this happen. Instead of feeling guilty, I shall play Fire Emblem

I've crashed Unity 3 times, wrote a recursive function with no end, forgot to increment a loop counter causing an infinite loop...so if you are a potential future employer, I'll soon be available for hire 😁

I've made a complete mess using nesting as well, when I started using the early exit it made everything so much more readable. Haven't used a GoTo since writing assembly code for the PS2, I remember the pain well 😂

I've read many books on Autism and ADHD lately, and I'm finding it deeply difficult when reading about behaviours I thought were "me" in a book. Like you could know me as a person because you read a book. I know that's stupid but it still hit harder than I'd have liked.

I tried keeping the art from the actual software separate from the pngs used for the game but I always (stupidly) end up editing the PNG directly so the original and the PNG don't match, then my future self curses my old self and learns absolutely no lessons 😂

I think refactoring gets a bad reputation. Making code to code things with less code is codey goodness. I find refactoring similar to writing poetry (poems I write, tho a bit shite) pour out some words, and hammer them into pleasing shapes, and make confusing metaphors with the leftovers

As someone who grew up in council houses in the UK in the 90s, Silent Hill Townfall is hitting hard. The detail is mind blowing. It's also weird when you remember that laundry baskets in the 90s were infinitely stronger than today's ones. And I spent too long staring at the old phone boxes 😂
