Finished our longest campaign in our TT group that’s I’ve been playing with mostly weekly for over 15 years. Made some art about it. Love to see a “how it started” vs “how it’s going”. #ocsky #artsky #art

The kids are standing together like they just set out in plain peasant wear. On the left, Birke is crouched over his backpack examining a leaf. Next, Sanford is bouncing baby Flynt, focused on him. Trent is in the middle, holding Riley the goat on a lead. Half hiding behind him, Winnifred is holding onto his shirt and the side of Onion’s torn cloak. Onion is hefting his bag of onions, looking towards Winifred. The background is reminiscent of a low burning fire and a large amount of smoke.

The kids all look several years older. On the left side, Winifred is translucent and walking away from the group. Beside her, Birke, is focused on a book, dressed in noble’s clothes. Beside him, Sanford is standing dressed in armor with his hands on Flynt’s shoulders. Flynt is holding onto the side of Trent’s pants. Trent is also dressed in noble wear, holding to his shepherd’s crook with ice spreading from his hands. Draped over his shoulder is a new woman, Joy, who is translucent but grinning towards the camera. To the right of him is Onion, his new metal hand resting on Trent’s shoulder. Behind him, a new person, Sister Shackle, is flipping her hood up, the shadows extra dark across her face.

One of my favorite and most effective design patterns is "tell the player exactly what you're gonna do to them, then do it." You can be SIGNIFICANTLY meaner to the player if you simply tell them ahead of time that that's exactly what you'll be doing, and also the suspense of the warning is a delight

This is your random reminder that letting a creator know when you've really enjoyed their game is the most invaluable you can give them. It can make more than our day. It can fuel us when times are rough or when we're struggling for inspiration. It can keep us going. No joke. No exaggerating.

If you see this qrp your art with marginalia!

Oleander, a young archer with a foxtail and fox ears, nocks an arrow and pulls the string back to her ear. All around the image area frame of tree branches with symbols nestled amongst them. Among the symbols are: acorns, oleander flowers, potion vials, a cottage, purple gems, cloth dolls, bells, thistle flowers, a book and quill.

Dalena tilts her head up, surrounded by dream (on the left) and nightmare (on the right) swirls. Nestled amongst them are a myriad of symbols such as: many stars, curling ocean tides, a small forest, two twin castles (one light, one dark), hounds, raven feathers, acorn sprigs, swords and shields, bottles of wine, daffodil blossoms, stovepipe hats, hands reaching down.

It's exhausting how applying the "everything is in flux" status to large swathes of your life drains your ability to cope with basically everything and thus is a force multiplier on difficulty and makes even minor complications feel soul crushing! Someday my cope will return from the capitalism.

Sometimes you encounter a line in a game that knocks you on your ass and you have to art about it. #art #artsky #oc #ocsky #knightsky

Three young siblings stay together. Two fraternal twins, Jaxon and Dalena, are standing back to back. Dalena is holding a stick while Jaxon glares off into the distance. By their feet, their younger sibling Leonard is sitting looking at a small rocking horse in his hand.

Behind them, faded out of focus versions of the siblings fade into the background. Dalena is dressed in a knight’s garb, drawing a wooden sword from a scabbard while light shines up over her face. Beside and slightly behind her, Leonard is dressed in red, a glowing sand castle shifting between her hands and glowing. All the way in the back and casting shadows over the background, Jaxon is throwing out his hands, glaring into the distance

Along the outside, in faded text the words “It is hardly my fault the world suddenly decided to grow a conscience and care for unwanted things” can be read. “Unwanted things” is also pulled forward into focus.

It's my birthday today 🎉 as per tradition, I'd like to ask for reposts of my art to celebrate 🩷 Thank you all so much for the support you have given me, here is to another year of creating art I love 🎉

Ipomoea is leaping forward, reaching for a star as her legs turn into wood, merging with the tree below as if in an attempt to hold her or perhaps keep her trapped. Behind her, a starry night sky is shown within a golden frame, tree branches jutting out on the outside of the frame.

Elaine is kneeling down with a hand on her chest, as the moon goddess places a sword on her shoulder to knight her. Elaine is donning her armour, a long blue cloth embroidered with stars draping around her waist and down onto the ground.

The frame is comprised of a crescent moon, within which stars twinkle among the clouds. The rest of the frame is a pale gold border with branches within.

Camellia is wearing an elaborate gown with folds that resemble camellia flowers, and an ornate chest armour with pauldrons. She is standing while holding a long sword with a heart shaped gem lodged between the hilt and the guard.

In the background, within the frame behind her, a castle at sunset can be seen. The outer frame is comprised of an archway, where each column shows a hooded sculpted figure. Morning glories and vines crawl up the archway. On top, the head of a third figure is shown in the relief.

On the right, Thalia leans forward Eirwen with a red flower in her hand. On the left, Eirwen reaches out, her fingers delicately brushing against the petals while her left hand brushes through Thalia's hair. Around them winter is thawing, flowers and foliage emerging still covered in a little snow.

Two different versions of Dalena. The one in the back is dramatically lit with her face tilted up towards the light, dressed in her knight’s garb. The one in the front is much more messily and sketchily rendered with her head in her hands. She’s dressed in her plain clothing, her sword lying in front of her as she sinks into swirling shadow.

Bsky! I'm venom~ a messy mixed media artist that adores line work and would do a lot of terrible things for a single great pen. I do ACEOs, pet portraits, landscapes, and generally like to scribble animals - especially ones with dem sharp teeth :) commissions: ko-fi.com/christalinei...

a close-up watercolor portrait of a beige and white chihuahua. the color around the background is a gradient blue with white highlight speckles scattered throughout. the pen work is messy and intricate for the fur texture.

four (small) different water color paintings, each one depicting a differently toned sunset. they are layered on top of each other with colors ranging from yellow orange all the way to pink blue.

a black and white drawing of a wolf with their head coming out of dark water. their mouth is open showing sharp teeth while several black bubbles drift upwards. there is messy but intricate pen work for the fur texture.

a black and white drawing of a deer and coyote head. the deer is looking to the left while the coyote looks at the deer from above. the line work is scratchy but intricate for the fur.

Oh right another week another game… In our dream knight hours again… #oc #ocsky #art #artsky #knightsky

A digital painting of Dalena split down the middle by her wooden sword. On the left she’s dressed plainly in a purple and black tunic with a gray scarf and leather vest; hair brown in a bun with a gray scarf and layered belts and sashes. On the right she’s dressed in a gray and purple doublet over a white fencing shirt. Her hair is galaxy colored with a purple and white flower crown. Darkness swirls up around her right arm while her hand glows with light.
