I deposited my mail-in ballot in the drop off box today in MD. Voted all blue up and down ballot. And yes, I OK’d gerrymandering. Someday we will have fair redistricting, but as long as Repubs are going to choose their voters and suppress the black vote we’re going to fight back.

Not sure why you are citing DOE PFO regs here? But I think you will find that there is no language there that requires a PFO to use deadly force. Hint: Look for words that mandate, like “must,” or “shall.” The sections cited simply describe when deadly force is “authorized,” they don’t order it.

No they don’t. No police force requires its officers to use deadly force. In fact, they all require strict reviews after the use of deadly force to determine whether such use was justified. Police departments frown on cowboys and instead want officers to go home alive at the end of the day.

That’s horseshit. No police force allows officers to surround a moving vehicle in an attempt to detain a suspect. Moreover, a shooting is not justified because there was a threat at one time. There has to be a deadly threat at the instant the weapon was discharged.

DHS policy forbids officers to move or stand in front of vehicles when attempting to detain a suspect. The policy was introduced after too many officers defended their questionable use of deadly force by the threat of vehicular homicide. It’s widely known as a method of justifying a bad shooting.

The officer’s body cam shows no such thing. It shows him moving around the vehicle from behind in order to stand in front of it. Then discharge his weapon as the driver began to turn the wheels away from him to leave. It shows him in the clear at the driver side window when he fired the kill shot.
