From what I've read the abbey was purchased at a good low price for an event space, so it was probably the right idea. IMO we would probably be better off if it had been kept as power would have shifted away from Lighthaven with their poor management and the rationalists. This would have been good.

Ebikes are good for getting people especially delivery workers out of polluting, pedestrian killing cars and should not be banned. The ban is only on ebikes that travel over 25 mph, so it actually seems like a reasonable rule to me, because it specifically isn't a ban on e-bikes.

I don't agree but I appreciate the bravery required to make this statement on bluesky and have followed you out of respect for that. On the subject of the law it's important to note that it should not cover most e-bikes. A full ban of e-bikes would be bad but a 25 mph ban seems reasonable.
