But I’m sure we all know people who casually mention they’ve seen a band we would have loved to. Mine was someone mentioning he’d seen the Buzzcocks in 1979 just after starting university Me - With Joy Division? Him - Er, yeah. I think it was them.

Dermatologist recommended minor surgery for a non-urgent biopsy today. I braced myself for the 16-18 week wait that’s been widely discussed and she said “Can you wait 20 minutes? We have an opening at 11:30”. They got me in at 11:25 and I was all done by 12:15. Support & celebrate your NHS!

Fourteen when Crocodiles came out, thirty one when Evergreen emerged. It’s never going to be the same, however much we want it to. Are there any bands who made better records in this scenario? But I have absolutely steered clear of seeing them live or reading his interviews even though Will is ace.

The Coral were absolutely on it tonight. Classics from across the whole back catalogue. We got a Doors cover (“only wankers don’t like The Doors”) and a big chunk of the Floyd inserted into the encore “Goodbye”. Go see them. They were ace.
