Urgent! Please send an email NOW or come to the RAP hearing Thursday morning to oppose a half-baked MacArthur Park fence that will KILL heritage trees and HARM migratory birds. Cultural Heritage Commissioner who objected was already removed by Karen Bass! esotouric.substack.com/p/westlakefe...

This is Lindsey. She developed severe pneumonia while living in foster. Thanks to you, we were able to sponsor her emergency care, and she made a full recovery. Now she's living her best life as a city girl in the Big Apple alongside her new mom ❤️‍🩹

Lindsey Collins, a white Great Pyrenees, stands on a concrete lot beside a dark vehicle, looking toward the camera under a partly cloudy sky.

A worker in white protective coveralls kneels beside Lindsey inside a containment area. Lindsey is wearing a breathable head covering to help deliver oxygen to her lungs.

A smiling person kneels on a paved walkway by a curved metal fence, hugging Lindsey in the foreground with a city skyline and sunset-lit buildings in the background.

It took THREE DAYS to film. It was shot in 8 weeks on an inflation-adjusted budget of $11M in today's money. That cost about about $600,000 today. As a director I'm here to say you do NOT spend 6% of your shooting budget on two guys fighting in an alleyway unless that scene is IMPORTANT.

So the narrator murdered the girl who'd been "raised" by a -- hebophile? Idk how to describe that part. I knew there was something weird about the narrator from the beginning! The murder plus pedo- storylines, plus unreliable narrator, reminds me of the Lolita. #TheNoirCollective #TheGuilty

Dixon’s PTSD wasn’t in Woolrich’s original 1941 story. But shell-shocked vets as tortured souls appear frequently in post-war film noir. “I guess that’s the way it is with guys who’ve been in the war together. We put up with a lot of things without knowing why.” #TheNoirCollective #TheGuilty

Poster for John Carpenter's They Live (1988). Roddy Piper, holding a gun and wearing the famous sunglasses, is surrounded by the real posters ordering, "CONFORM," "OBEY," and "CONSUME."
"Who are they... and what do they want?"
(I have a sneaking suspicion they might want people to conform, obey, and consume, ijs.)
