Hey Breadsky! Latest attempt to make a spicy sourdough by adding Aleppo flakes, smoked paprika and a bit of cayenne. Getting there. This one has a little kick that sneaks up on you. Could have used slightly more proofing.

Made some ciabatta for first time. Probably needed a bit more fermentation, but still lively paired with the olive oil (extra virgin 0.3%) that we helped harvest.

#breadsky Although I haven’t posted for a while, I have been busy baking. Here are three jalepeno/cheese sourdough boules I made for my husband’s birthday party. Earlier in the week I experimented with chorizo/cheese - that may become the new favourite.

#breadsky Looking for suggestions for a jalapeño-cheddar cheese bread that isn’t an ‘easy’ or ‘no knead’ recipe. I actually like the process of making bread.

I have just spent a profoundly sad morning at Auschwitz Birkenau. It was even more poignant considering the what is being threatened in the US right now. We need to continue to resist.

New research shows we might be able to predict how specific groups of clinically anxious youth may respond to treatments before they start. This could help doctors make better decisions and personalise care for young patients acamh.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
