Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 13hTornado! I had this one on the list for a while. I liked the premise, and the trailer seemed like it could be a good time. It is a beautifully shot film with few known faces, cool kill or two in the finale, and few nice/strong moments. That's it. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The Face at the Window! A cool little horror from 1939 involving a "Wolf Man", murders, and other evil plots. Love, romance, jealousy, and classism also play a part. An hour long movie that is palpably old, beautifully crafted and with fun story. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Hope! A very interesting movie. Fun, bizarre, and getting the survival thriller perfectly. While we are mainly in town, it is great. The aliens are great too (though CG isn't the best). It gets a little wacky towards the end, and I need a sequel. #FilmSky #MovieSky 110
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Carrie! First time. Some fantastic filmmaking and acting, and when it hits, it HITS. I hate bullies and fanatics, and they should all burn in hell (ironic). Throw them UNDER the jail. Drags a little before the finale, but otherwise a great movie. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Welcome to Raccoon City! I liked this. Strong set up, the small town thing works well enough, and has some interesting lore-building. It was good time. Real good. Though the finale felt like it ended up on the chopping block with side of reshoots a little. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Mystic River! A great movie. Dark, tragic, unfair and unjust. But great. Violence, grief, trauma, and humanity at is most bare, most primal. Stupid, reckless, dangerous, twisted and messed up. And every now and then, innocence. Anyway, great film. #FilmSky #MovieSky 010
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I have seen people complain about/criticize the 8 episode format lately, and I want to say that it is not the format that's the problem. It's the writing. Way too many shows with under 10 episodes are doing the "slow burn", but they are doing it all wrong. #TVSky #series📺 110

Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Fargo! I finally watched this classic, and it was crazy. Ridiculous, over the top, but also real, suspenseful, and a story that just tragically went out of hand. Fantastic cast, premise, direction. Great movie. Jerry is a piece of shit. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000

Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Resident Evil! My first. Zach Cregger brought me to Raccoon City, and what a ride it was. Austin Abrams is fantastic, his Bryan is a very normal guy put into a very abnormal situation, and it is both funny and terrifying. Ending was sad. And hype. #FilmSky #MovieSky 100

Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Psycho Killer. Pretty cool movie. Fun idea. A reverse slasher almost, or rather a hunt for a slasher killer. The set up is great IMO, the story for the most part interesting, it's just that it is a bit too stupid. Especially in the finale. Still, a pretty fun time. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 21/09/2026A fine episode. This show has entered the "whatever" territory, where even when it has good things in it (which it does here and there) it doesn't rise above the weaker stuff. It is whatever. I hopes that at least the 2026 story would be gonna be strong. #Lanterns #TVSky #series📺 100

Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 15/09/2026One of these days, I hope, we get "the last one", the "Snyder Punch"., the director's cut of Sucker Punch. I really like the extended cut, but I'm curious just how different the dc would be, what else is there. The film has some interesting layers. Hopefully one day. #ZackSnyder #FilmSky 010
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I do hope I get to see this film. Zack Snyder, interesting premise, and it looks awesome. Beautiful. Gorgeous even. I do hope it finds a distributor, and that it finds its way here. Preferably a theatrical release, but I'll take anything. I want to see this movie. #TheLastPhotograph #FilmSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 14/09/2026This show is a mess. It has the ingredients, but the writing is bringing it down. There is lack of consistency in characters, motivations, and the way it reveals new things also has issues. I still liked some of the new episode, I just wish they executed it better. #Lanterns #TVSky #series📺 110

Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 07/09/2026What I am still curious about, and need the show to deliver on, is how will the 2016 story end, and what bleeds over to 2026. Also, what happens to Hal, and how/when does Guy come into picture. John's story, and how it resolves, as well, but that will continue in DCU. #Lanterns #TVSky #series📺 100
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 07/09/2026This show is an up-and-down swing, but it keeps staying down more than going up. This kind of mystery is so boring. Just tropes. Seen million times, offering nothing new or interesting. I simply don't care who Manhunter is. Characters and larger story are lacking too. #Lanterns #TVSky #series📺 000

Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Who'll Stop the Rain. I liked this. An interesting film, with everything going wrong, and our characters needing to go on a run. To save themselves, to save each other. Marge did not ask for any of it. A good movie. #FilmSky #MovieSky 000
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 02/09/2026The Whisper Man. Pretty good and effective thriller, but also with a bit too many tropes and plot conveniences that were not great. Keaton ate it up, the rest was solid. Could have gone more into Jake's mind. There was more to explore there. #FilmSky #MovieSky 010
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 02/09/2026This movie looks like the kind of stupid that could be fun. I also like it visually, for the most part. Rich colors, neon lights, some variety in tones. Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Charley Varrick! Now this was a thriller. So good. A criminal crew robbed a bank, killed a few deputies, and took some mafia money. Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 01/09/2026A New Leaf! I liked this one, it was fun. A pathetic loser of a man loses his wealth, so he tries to marry a rich woman to get access to her money. Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 31/08/2026This looks amazing. Some of the shots reminded me of Snow Steam Iron. Zack Snyder in full art mode, just pure expression, this is gonna be so good. #TheLastPhotograph #FilmSky #MovieSky 150
Pavol @pmatula.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I liked this episode. A strong origin for John. Messed up, twisted, and very much reflecting the context in which it happened. It's sad and infuriating, but helps build John in great way. Guardians being suss, Hal being sketch (or rather, them making him seem that way). #Lanterns #TVSky #series📺 000
