Today was my 365th @nytimes.com crossword puzzle in a row. This streak began when last year's tech strike ended. I will not be doing the crossword tomorrow, and I will allow my subscription to lapse when it expires.
Congratulations!
You solved a Monday Crossword in 6:08.

There's a thin layer of iridium-rich rock covering almost the entire world called the K-Pg Boundary. It was the first clue that led scientists to propose and then prove that a meteor killed the dinosaurs. If we're extremely lucky, that's what the 2020s AI slop era will be reduced to someday.

The New York Times has many bigger problems, but that doesn't change the fact that this sidebar sucks
The NY Times games sidebar. Crossword archives is so far away (and plural). Spelling Bee archive is called "past puzzles". No link to the Mini archives, Sudoku is relegated to the hinterlands, Connections Bot but no WordleBot. And it's not in any discernable order.

The word "capitalism" is loved and the word "socialism" is hated, but if you avoid commie-coded words, it turns out people are broadly in favor of policies that help individuals over corporations

The last session of D&D ended with another PC on my shoulders, and we're wearing a single lava-proof suit (which magically molded around us to fit, including 8 limbs) in a small room that is filled to the ceiling with lava. I've never looked forward to the next session as much as this
