The gen 1 and 2 remakes were nice but given that mechanically and visually there hasn’t been much improvement imo since gen 5 it feels like a combination of cash grab and a feeling of obligation. What makes it worse is how power-crept the series has become making highlighting older pokemon harder

What’s worse is that things like initiating a beatdown a heavy or batclawing a shocked enemy cancels enemy attacks so when your aim is now at someone else you’re now vulnerable because enemy attacks are continued when you do that “unnecessarily” so you get punished while also being disoriented

Mechanically my biggest problem with batman ak is the way the game rips away camera control in combat. Trying to aim a gadget? Fuck you someone’s charging and you’re now targeting 90° over. Trying to stun a heavy for a beatdown? You’re now stunning the guy next to him because a ninja jumped at you
