The death of Keith McIvor – AKA JD Twitch – a year ago was a huge loss to the music community of which The Quietus is a part Now World Of Echo is to sell 20,000 records belonging to the late Optimo lynchpin buff.ly/jsZEE2Y

This is really depressing. Neko Case doesn't name names, and nor does she need to, but I believe her. If anything, she tends to be honest to a fault--this post illustrates exactly what I mean--and abso-fucking-lutely does not hold back (except for said dude's name). [ht: @rahnealexander.com]

I despise Substack and have previously said I will never read it (and I don't). But I will break my rule just for this eally disturbing piece of writing by Neko Case, who was / is in a band, The New Pornographers, who were supported by The Frames in 2002. nekocase.substack.com/p/in-what-fu...

The best thing about Clacton is that Farage seems to feel forced to take Count Binface seriously, because otherwise the whole thing is a joke that makes him look incredibly silly. But by taking a talking bin seriously, he also looks silly. It's a Bin-Bin situation

The Dream Syndicate playing some 21st Century songs, the whole of Medicine show (but not in order) and then an encore of 3 DoW&R tracks including a blistering version of the title track. Doing it again tomorrow in Glasgow. (We also got Linda Pitmon on drums since Dennis Duck was unavailable)
