I know I haven't been around a lot - 2025 was a year. The crap was piled high, and the art levels were low. But I did do this portrait of an adorable dog named Lucy! . . . #graphite #traditionalart #petportrait #doggos

I'm fooling around with alcohol markers underneath my colored pencils. The end result is on the left (alcohol markers and Prisma Premiers). Compared to a piece using the same reference in 2023 with Crayola's. #coloredpencil #coloredpencils #alcoholmarkers #artistonbsky #traditionalart #improvement

Pastry loaded with different fruits and flours compared to similar piece on the right hand side that was done with cheap colored pencils in 2023

I'm mostly known for doing portraits of humans, but I want to start leaning more into animals. So in between the nerd-centric pieces I'm working on, I'm going to practice pet portraits to broaden my portfolio. . . . #petportraits #graphite #artist #artsky #animals

Going through sketchbook pages on Bluesky makes me wish I had kept my sketchbooks from Highschool to reflect back on. Its also making me realize I want to spend more time in my sketchbook now.

I've been suffering from a creative drought when it comes to #art this past two weeks, but finally managed to get this little guy out! I'm actually pretty happy with him. It's a #traditional piece done in colored pencils.

Pushing forth in my #art journey using pencil crayons. This is the first attempt I've done at an animal. Voila! Giraffe. I learned quite a bit from this piece, and cannot wait to sink my teeth into another animal. Any suggestions?
