But this is fascinating as someone who *started* on Curse of the Moon, got the KS lore, and worked *backwards*. I played Order of Ecclesia out of sheer luck. And I grabbed all the DS titles and went "I can live here."

Admittedly, I am speaking from a perspective of *two* Belmont demos. The one at PAX West put you on a 15m timer with more content and said "figure it out, good luck!" When your 15m are up, the demo just *stopped*. you had to sit with wherever you got, was what you got. Bastards (positive).

And I dislike the posturing of "I'm just giving a criticism" because a lot of times y'all aren't. You're making a bullet list of reasons that Game B isn't like Game A Enough and correct! Accurate! They are in fact not the same thing! And shouldn't (always) be!

I increasingly miss timelines where we not only made, but PLAYED games for fun without insisting that hey if it isn't Absolutely Better than this one specific title, I guess, that it is doomed to flip and fail, it should simply not exist. Nothing gets a chance.

I have never seen a thread so coded for me in my life. A genre close to my heart, as someone who NEVER played SotN, with history, detail, and a loud proclamation that once again: many gamers aren't here for the love of the game, but the hopes and pursuits of an algorithm that doesn't know you.
