It happens every morning now. But it never stops being creepy.

this is just a deeply weird book for me personally

I sleep in the tunnel every night now.
Rocky insists. And, once every eighty-six hours or so, Rocky sleeps in the tunnel and wants me to watch.

Rocky is heavy. Much heavier than I thought he would be. If there were gravity, I probably wouldn't be able to lift him at all.

A food coma for Rocky is no small thing.
This doesn't look voluntary at all. This is a biologically enforced post-meal siesta.

(6s) Jords: So my partner played the clarinet back in the day.
(14s) Jords: And when she heard me watching the film, she came in and was like, oh, this soundtrack is great.
(19s) Jords: It's got banging music.
(21s) Jords: It's great tonguing.
(22s) Jords: I was a violinist, and I did very little tonguing on my instrument.
(30s) Rocky: But a lot of fingering.
