A squeezer stile for another day. The stile looks quite forgiving for a change, they are usually more suitable for skinny walkers 😳 I'm extending my walking routes but resisting anywhere which might be slippy or boggy.

🌱 This anemone has finally opened, it has a quiff. I'm knackered after completely emptying the pond and starting from scratch. Pulled out a massive mat of roots which were the shape of the liner.

🌱Got Mum to the hairdressers, she was delighted,I earned some brownie points. On the way home a red kite swooped down on to the road in front and back up into to the field, never seen one before and it was pretty close up. Think the roses in the garden are having a fine 2nd flush!

Sigh, great to get out for a walk but it was the first one since my holiday and very different from paddling along the sea edge. Plenty of good mornings but missed saying bom dia.

This was on the back of the door from the storage area in the old Mark's and Spencers shop, Keighley. I've never worked in retail so don't know if it's a common sign. I found it a bit odd!

The evening routine has commenced, Barry comes to sit on my knee, half on half off due to his wobbly backend. After a minute of stroking I say don't lick my jumper 🙄 He gives it a while then tries to steal the seat. All a ploy to get me to warm the sofa. Every night 😅

Happy plod round the fields and wood this morning. Beautiful sunshine, dry paths but fab to find the pond had filled and a duck making the most of it. It was dry last year. My legs are waking up their muscle memory, heart is a little way behind, more practice needed!

The painting Snowmen from the Jim Moir exhibition at Cartwright Hall Bradford. I loved this one, it is sculptural and bizarre. Look at those teeth!

Sad to hear Glen Baxter has gone today. I still have this poster, it was signed but the signature faded a long time ago, we ambushed him in the Manor House and he was kind enough to indulge us enthusiastic art students. Always fond of his stuff
An exhibition poster for Glen Baxter prints from 1985. The image is in a cartoon style with 3 boys looking at a retro machine with a TV screen, it shows the torso of a boy in shorts heading off to the left, he has a dog tail!
Text says "The situation looks hopeless sir, those Baxter drawings are heading straight to Ilkley!"

Had a muddy walk but managed to stay upright 😁 lovely day. Returned to the vets with the extra medication I'd got yesterday- wrong dose! I opened them and wondered how the hell I'd get them down the cat they were huge. Gave me 400mg instead of 40mg! All sorted now
