A little break from gardening With Nova Runda's special Beer Walk Zabok New Zealand pale ale. Pleasant bitterness and the typical lime/minerality from the New Zealand hops: Motueka, Riwaka, and NZ Cascade!

Some little doodles I did for my wife as she was sharing Breton sweets at her workplace. 😀 I chose some easy to draw "clichés" that connect to Bretagne in my mind. See the description in alt txt! The sweets: salted-butter caramels, kouign-amann, breton cake, and breton biscuits (galettes & palets).
Pencil doodles on a small piece of paper. From top left to bottom right:
An ermin (heraldic symbol connected to Brittany), a big seagull (goéland in French, a word borrowed from Breton), a Breton flag (gwenn-ha-du), a triskel, an old sailing ship (lugger/dundee inspired), and a doodle of a man and a woman in a traditional costume inspired by the one worn in Bigouden country

A drawing = 1000 words :D
plan made in Paint software showing where I took each olm picture.
An ellipse represents the vivarium room.
2 parallel lines at the bottom of the ellipse show the Entrance.
2 rectangles in the middle show the olm aquariums.
A blue text shows where I took the first picture, right aquarium
A green text shows where I took the 2nd picture, left aquarium

This weekend we visited Postojna Cave in Slovenia! A majestic place, pictures don't do it justice!
Picture of "Velika Gora" in the Postojna cave. A large cavern with many stalactites hanging from the ceiling, and fewer big stalagmites. On the right of the picture is a crowd of visitors.Another picture from "Velika Gora" in Postojna Cave, this time looking down from the top. A lot of concretions can be seen (stalactites, stalagmites, "veils" or "curtains"). One of the most famous concretions in Postojna cave, this huge stalagmite is very white due to its almost pure calcium composition. So-called "organs" concretions, because they look like the musical instrument of the same name.

2. Les Tuniques Bleues A historical comedy set in the US Civil War, following the adventures of the Union sergeant Chesterfield and the cowardly corporal Blutch. While it started as comedy, it progressively evolved a more serious style to pay respect to the events. @coripalladium.bsky.social !

1. Johan et Pirlouit, a lighthearted medieval fantasy by Peyo, the author of Les Schtroumfs (the smurfs). Johan, a brave squire, goes on adventures with his mischievous friend Pirlouit. This is especially good when it connects to the Smurfs universe!
Cover from the integral of Johan et Pirlouit depicting Johan, a tall dark haired squire with a sword, and Pirlouit, a small blond haired man with a mallet. THere is also a princess behind them. The style is similar to the smurfs

Slowly getting mentally ready to yell "Buna traje!" 86592 times on February 8th...
A tough looking man looking towards the left. He has an imposing biker mustache, is wearing a grey fur-rimmed hat, and grey/dusty clothes. It is the actor Fabijan Šovagović portraying Matija Gubec in the movie "Anno Domini 1573", a 1975 Yugoslav/Croatian movie about the 1573 Croatian-Slovenian Peasant revolt.

Tell me the staff at the French store in Zagreb are not French without telling me that they are not French 😅 Maybe next time I'll say something, but I don't feel comfortable "Erhm akshually"-ing workers...
Saint-Nectaire cheese on a cutting board. It's a grey cheese. It is cut in a triangle, but the tip of the triangle has been cut, which is a big no-no in French culture.

Being married to a Croatian means I got to specify if desserts are in the "kolač", "pita" or "torta" category 😅
Picture of the table of contents of a recipe notebook. There are a lot of recipes written, and their categories (starter, dish, dessert...) some desserts also are marked as being 'kolač', or 'Torta'

Here's what "man" has to say about git "checkout --force". It explicitly says "This is used to throw away local changes". Which the question unambiguously specifies to PRESERVE. This is worrying. Either I have become crazy, or the test expect a wrong answer?
Screenshot of the output of the command `man git-checkout`, specifically the --force option:

" -f, --force
When switching branches, proceed even if the index or the working tree differs from HEAD, and even if there are untracked files in the way. This is used to throw away local changes and any untracked files or directories that are in the way.

When checking out paths from the index, do not fail upon unmerged entries; instead, unmerged entries are ignored.
"

As part of a job interview process I have to take a technical test on TestDome. I decided to check out their library of questions, to see what I could expect on the actual test. This question made me question my sanity. Note: You need both answers shown to get the full points...
Screenshot from TestDome website of the following quesions:

"Force Checkout"

"A developer is halfway through implementing a new feature on a feature branch but needs to check out the main branch to address a critical bug.

Which of these options would allow the developer to successfully check out the master branch without losing local changes?

(select all acceptable answers)"

The possible answers are:

"Use the --force option of the checkout command."
"Wipe the local copy from the drive and clone the project again."
"Use the --quiet option to suppress error messages during checkout."
"Use the --orphan option to remove the experimental code entirely."
"Use the stash command to save the modifications separately."

The First and Last options are selected.
Under the "Submit" button, the text reads "Your score is 100%, perfect!"

Logo for the crew's light freighter the "Sommelier". It is under a lease from Almathea Ambrosals, a corporation based on Titan that supplies luxury items: wine, cheese, chocolate, and other delicacies from Earth and Mars. They sell mainly to the high-class spas on Titan.
Logo. The top part is "Sommelier" written in simplified Chinese and in latin characters. Under the text is a glass of red wine, carried by a hand. The wrist of the hand extends as a drive cone and its blue rocket exhaust (also called "drive plume" in The Expanse).
Under the wine glass is written "Luxury Shipping" in latin characters, and in simplified Chinese.

That's the most French thing they could do, tbh. Most stores in Zagreb are opened crazy hours, sometimes until 21:00/22:00, and on the weekend too. This guy was like "Non merci, je suis normal."
Screenshot from google maps summary of the French deli "Voilà" in Zagreb. In a red circle are the shop's opening hours, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00 and closed on Sunday.

Gotta love how speed cameras in Croatia are those flimsy looking boxes while in France they have to make them into armored turrets because otherwise they would get shot/burned/destroyed.
Double face speed camera in France. It's a tall, black steel cylinder with several windows for sensors, cameras, flash. It takes two pictures of a vehicule, from the front and from the back. Speed camera in Croatia. It's a relatively small, PS5 looking camera strapped to a lamppost.

First successful little step on my Godot journey: roll 2d6 and display the results! The 2 dice roll independently: the animations loops a random amount of times (between 1 and 4 loops). Then I set the frame to the result. When both dice are done rolling, add the results and display it!

Ok, for my third game, I have to go with Project Zomboid. There is simply no better zombie survival sim out there. If you haven't already, give it a try. It's brutal to start, but every time you survive a bit longer it feels amazing. And the multiplayer is also great.
