I wonder if TheBurntPeanut understands what his #thestreamerawards win means for male vtubers. There's a subgenre of funky guys with big personalities who, while unconventional by current vtubing standards, could be a hit with Twitch's conventional audience youtube.com/watch?v=wmaT...

@kyloneko.net With UMU Launcher, we now have a way to run Steam games and apps that support -nosteam flag (such as VTube Studio and VBridger) with Proton without opening Steam. I thought it might be a useful addition to the guide. I made some example .desktop file that I hope illustrate the idea

Speaking personally, leaning and turning help immensely to make a model feel "real." The more ways the model can move, the better. There's a sense of diminishing returns as you take each to the extreme but you can get a *lot* out of a little.

A friend of mine drew a comparison between Ludwig's vtuber debut and Pokimane's from back in 2020, and while he didn't grasp the weight of his statement, I do, and it's making me lose sleep.

I would consider good audio to be the second most important aspect of being a successful streamer, after simply going live regularly. Plus you get to meet a vtubing industry veteran. Mio love! twitter.com/mioricelesta...

Found this while scrolling during breakfast and turned out to be a worthwhile watch. Car dependency negatively affects the health of cities in practically all aspects, including in this case, personal safety. #tafficengineering #urbanism #cars youtu.be/Ct8_d_EeSvQ

Will delete later For a major video I need 1. The most famous GG ray moments you can find, needs to be high level games pref commentary or players reacting to a big moment. 2. Candidates for the most broken thing in any shooter game. Character weapon (ex old brig in OW)

I've had some time to reflect and I've calmed down. Ultimately, nothing here is new. While machine learning has allowed spam bots to improve quickly and take me by surprise here, they are still fundamentally the same kind of deception we've dealt with in all social media. bsky.app/profile/pixe...

Watching the new Hand Green video about a bot that picks arguments that sound like many of the contrarian viewpoints I've argued with over the past two years, and I'm having a crisis of faith. Were they bots all along? Were they mining my responses to improve? www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpOk...

I'm starting to see a lot of these around. Bluesky has been developing a reputation as being hostile to artists and I would hate for this to actually come true

Hello to the Bluesky community! We're trundling on in with an announcement; the Steam Autumn Sale starts next Wednesday, November 27th with deals on games of all types - from games that are blue, to games that are about skies, and everything in between.

A hand-drawn autumnal scene with a parked motorbike, rabbits, and a pudu with the words "Steam Autumn Sale Nov 27 - Dec 4 at 10am Pacific" written across it.

Painful irony that the 2024 rules for D&D 5e are getting me back into tabletop RPGs, but most of the discussion I'm seeing is about Shadowdark. I know it's for good reason, but I'm struggling to push my mindset back to experimenting with indie gems instead of analyzing the new mainstream release.

I've been thinking a lot about how this site would be able to make enough money to stay afloat without driving away users. Jumping straight to a Discord model doesn't sit right with me. I assume it's not just me, I hope more people speak up about it.
