yesterday I learned that the Interview With a Vampire author did a whole lot more than just that and apparently there's like a whole growing TV show universe of shows currently with vampires, secret societies, and witches.

My ass greatly underestimated how much voice acting would cost.

mossy onionbug @onionybug.kyuppin.com · 28/09/2026

Would any voice actors be able to give me an estimated answer for this question? A lot of people quoted me an hourly rate for my casting call. About how much recording does one get done in an hour assuming that it's reading the line and finalizing the file for submission?

mossy onionbug @onionybug.kyuppin.com · 28/09/2026

Casting call update: I've made it through my first pass and listened to all of the submissions from 93 different people! I'll now be moving onto phase two where I make final decisions, taking in all factors (budget, etc).

so many voice acting submissions made Pudding's voice that of an older pompous british man and it's so funny to me that this is the vibe that came across

I tried to pick games that come up in my head a lot or that I played the most as a young lad. Dark Souls is the outlier here but fromsoft games have had a huge impact on me even if I only played em within the last 5ish years. And I'll probably remember other games later lol.

Just 16 voice acting submissions to listen to (out of 93 submitted) before I move onto round 2!! I may get them all done today.

Watched Mermaids last night. It was great. As soon as I saw it was a movie with Cher, Winona Ryder, and Samantha Ricci were all in it, I knew it couldn't be bad. Great autumn vibes movie.

I've been cleaning my apartment and making changes to welcome the nearby arrival of autumn. Today I bought warm LED lightbulbs so I can have a nice cozy space uwu They look super cool too. They're strips of LEDs in patterns you'd see in old incandescent bulbs

Does anyone use Proton Drive? I'm thinking of trying it out as an off-site cloud backup for my PC. I've been using Backblaze but BB is really lacking in features and the application is always stealing resources to upload like 15kb or whatever it's doing lol

You know how redbubble takes user designs and prints & ships them on demand? It'd be so cool if we had a service like this for video games. Devs upload the build files, a case design, etc. And on purchase the service prints the case & disc, shrinkwraps it, and ships it out!

Anyways, Three Wishes is gonna be paid on android again! It'll be 50% of the PC price (with a small re-release launch discount) to account for having to play on an inferior non-desktop device. This change will be enacted sometime soonish. So if you want the game for free, go grab it now please.
