Here's a shot from an upcoming piece we've been crafting. We took this opportunity to expand our cloth wrangling skills, and came up a nice little rig to control the chaos. More on the way soon. @sidefx.bsky.social #houdini #redshift

What if I told you After Effects was getting rid of RAM preview? It's true. Preview your whole sequence directly from disk with Improved Caching For Longer Playback. Now live in public beta. Lots more info here: community.adobe.com/t5/after-eff...

DTI tractography from the Calgary Preschool MRI Dataset from the Developmental Neuroimaging Lab. 3dSlicer for data extraction, Houdini for mesh optimization and animation, Redshift for rendering was used #mri #dti #tractography #houdini #sidefx #redshift #neuro #reconstruction @sidefx.bsky.social

Sidefx web licensing can sometimes kick you out and not return your license to the pool. hkey lets you see who's pulling licences via r-click 'list users' but returns gibberish. To fix, File -> Preferences -> turn off 'Scrub User Names'. Now r-click, 'return license'. Thanks A.Pepe for finding this!

To kick things off, I wanted to share our short film “Oceani”. It’s our ode to the ocean—offering a vision of hope and renewal. Encouraging viewers to consider their role in nurturing the delicate balance of our world’s oceans.

Hi everyone! Justin here—filmmaker, storyteller, and lover of all things creative. I’m the Executive Producer at Rocket Lab, but really, I’m just a nerd who loves Houdini and all things animation. Excited to connect, share, and explore this space with all of you.
