I made some character and item sprites for GMTK game jam. The concept is you have to find a gift for a friend in a haunted mall. They ended up a mix of Deltarune and Castlevania style. Animated versions on my blog: pixelglade.net.au/blog/posts/2... #pixelart #ドット絵 #sprite #commissionsopen

Cowboy Bebop Knocking on Heavens Door is one of my favorite films ever made. The Japanese version doesn’t nearly have the same impact to me. Real human localizers took the Japanese words and worked their magic, maintaining the texture, but adding a superior flavor. We need human localizers ALWAYS

Any kind of interruption from your browsing experience is a high-stress situation. Modal popups on modern websites are bad enough, but Anubis is a full-screen interruption. The mascot is, in fact, load-bearing to defuse this tension. I personally recommend people don't replace it because of this.

For example, the 'error' variant of the mascot. By definition, you're only going to see this by mistake. Bots don't care. So the expression I went for was more surprise than anything else, rather than, like, exaggerated crying or anger. Also fun fact this was based on a bocchi expression.

For me the whole point of doing what I'm doing-art is a way of processing life. I don't see the value in outsourcing any element of that.

When I'm looking at someone else's project, if I see an element of the environment [where] they use generative fill or whatever to change something about the scene, it just shuts off the part of my brain that wants to know more about that world. Because I would assume if they're willing to make an arbitrary choice there, they could make an arbitrary choice with literally anything.

Couldn't play Ragnarok Online on Linux because of anti-cheat so put the energy into making some RO inspired creature designs and isometric sprites. These were both for PixelJoint challenges but I learned a lot, hope you like them. Both made in Krita! #pixelart #ドット絵 #krita #FOSS #retrogaming

A pixel daily entry from 2019 versus 2026. I started making digital artwork in 2018 after doing Inktober in 2017. 2019 is when I started making pixel art seriously though. Basically, I went from having no anatomy / figure drawing skills and no perspective drawing skills to where I am today.
