I just saw this and while I figured it would be a good creepy time I was surprised how beautifully shot it was and how the story lays trauma and the equally healing or corrupting effect time can have on it on the front burner and really makes the otherworldly setting feel oddly relatable

I don't really fuck with Stephen King like that but I always remember this novella because for whatever reason my 6th grade school library decided to get it and the wait list was so long cause all the 6th grade boys wanted to see the gory illustrations! They are legit cool!
