J'ai le bouquin de STPo depuis Noël, et c'est seulement maintenant que je l'ai posé sur mon étagère et que je le vois de loin que je remarque ce qu'il représente. Well done.
Couverture du livre Atsemtex, de STPo, représentant un immeuble de bureaux de luxe, en forme de poing levant le majeur, au milieu d'une ville en flammes.

Pictures of yesterday's game, players facing a possessed adventurer in the basement of a museum, spawning a horde of otherworldly minions. Heroes prevailed, but lost one of them. Zayne, the animated golem Monk (played by a player) got overwhelmed by the minion horde and couldn't prevail

After 1h of character creation, and 2h of play, we ended when the heroes found the secret passage to the deeper level. They fought an animated statue, exploded a Shrieker mushroom, and avoided an otherworldly plant to get there. Will they be able to find the missing Blakros daughter in time?
Heroes walking slowly through a room full of stored statues. One of them is animated. View of the partially explored dungeon, including the statue storage room, scriptorium, library and crate storage rooms The heroes discussing their next move now that they found the secret entrance to the deeper level

Just binged Andor S1 & S2 (yeah, I'm late) Acting and VFX are stellar. But the storytelling? The art of building tension through each episode and season? This show is a masterpiece. Every single episode: "Wait, that was an hour already? One more...". And I don't even like Star Wars 🤷
The Andor logo in weathered bronze/copper texture against a black background. The text "ANDOR" appears in large capital letters below the Rebel Alliance symbol (a stylized starbird). The distressed, metallic finish gives it a gritty, worn appearance that reflects the show's tone.

If you missed my talk at #DevFestNantes, I'll also be at @devfestlyon.bsky.social on November 28th. The talk is about how I built brefsearch.com to search through every scene of "Bref" to find the exact scene you're looking for (in 🇫🇷). Starring CLI tools, APIs, front-end, and a bit of AI magic ✨

Started a game of NoteQuest (solo dungeon exploring) with my 7yo daughter. It's supposed to be played only with pen and paper but when one has nice terrain and minis, one finds any excuse to use them.

"Special character", "Machine-readable". How am I supposed to know how a machine reads my passport? I can tell you what my name is, and how it is written on my passport, but I'm not a machine and I have no idea how one will read it... It's 2025. Machines can read a "é" without exploding.

#DevFestNantes reminded me how much I love sharing on stage 🎤 So I'm already working on the abstract of another talk Before I submit to CFPs, I'd love your honest feedback on the abstract. What resonates? What's missing?

Subject, Story, Slides, Speaker: the 4S of Public Speaking

How often did you leave a talk feeling like you wasted your time? Catchy title, but off-topic content, monotonous delivery, or just a dry list of facts with no storyline…
After giving dozens of presentations and coaching over 100 people at all levels, I've identified a pattern: successful talks rely on 4 fundamental pillars:
Subject: Choose a topic that interests you and resonates with your audience
Story: Transform technical concepts into a captivating narrative
Speaker: Manage your stress and enjoy being on stage
Slides: Create visual aids that support your message without drowning it
Each pillar will be illustrated with concrete examples and common mistakes to avoid. Whether you're just starting out or already comfortable on stage, you'll leave with an actionable checklist to prepare your next talk and step up with confidence.

This one was a way to search into all posts from www.reddit.com/r/TerrainBui..., with pictures, in a big infinite scroll way. I had been using it a lot, to browse for inspiration when building my own terrain. Data is now frozen as what it was in December 2022.

"How many seconds of time are there in eternity?"
The King said, “The third question is, how many seconds of time are there in eternity.” Then said the shepherd boy, “In Lower Pomerania is the Diamond Mountain, which is two miles and a half high, two miles and a half wide, and two miles and a half in depth; every hundred years a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on it, and when the whole mountain is worn away by this, then the first second of eternity will be over.”

Step 1 of secret project activated. Hmm, no step 1 was actually ordering the parts. Or was it researching for hours what those parts are? Or was it thinking about the project? Anyway, progress is being made!
