This superb @channel4news.bsky.social report exposes the entire electoral infrastructure as corrupted - regulation, pollsters and media - and ends with Nigel Farage at a meeting in the centre of the by-election he instigated in an effort to dodge the initial charge. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXut...

Very troubling that the law-makers at the Home Office allowed this through.

New Home Office guidance that states permission is needed to photograph people in public is incorrect and harmful. There is no legal requirement to seek permission before photographing people in public. Quite astonishing that the government has published this.

When we were fighting to make PrEP (effective HIV prevention) available on the NHS, the Daily Mail tried to set it up as a conflict between hedonistic gays and people needing surgery. Sad but unsurprising they’re employing the same tactics now, pitting trans and disabled people against each other.
Daily Mail front page:
NHS told to give out £3000 a year lifestyle drug to prevent HIV - as vital cataract surgery is rationed.
WHAT A SKEWED SET OF VALUES.

Farage has shared an image of an NUJ card belonging to a photographer that has presumably been dropped nea (one of)r his properties. For someone so concerned about his own security, he seems perfectly willing to whip up his followers against someone who presumably has none.

This is exactly why I need security in the first

Much to enjoy in this BWV frame grab. I think it'll work well in a "POV" section for an upcoming talk. The line down the centre is really pronounced in this wider view. Pretty much the key moment.
Very wide angle frame grab from body worn video that shows the photographer's point of view at the moment a photograph depicting a street scene, taken at 02:26 on 1st January 2016, was made.
