Tales of Berseria Magilou Dancing

It’s a ☕️ & 🥞 & 🎮 kinda Sunday! Today I’m playing Tales of Berseria and will almost certainly finish it. Looking forward to sharing my thoughts on it soon. I hope you all have a great day 😊

I saw they are doing a collector’s edition for Persona 4 Revival and thought I might pick it up since I haven’t played it before and don’t have any P4 stuff and might quite like some. Then I saw that it is £245 😅

Haha! I used to be like, but at some point I just stopped using it and forgot about it. It is a lot of fun tho!!

Having not shopped on ebay for years until last week, it is funny to be reminded that my username is related to a Digimon ship I was into when I was 16. Weirdly, I think the characters did get married in the end, but I didn’t know that when I chose the name 😂

Thank you 😊 yes it was all good!

That was a looong day! On the train home now, and yes I’ve got that Persona manga with me and yes I got to that scene and oh my holy hell Ren’s disguise is even better than I’d heard 🤣 I won’t spoil it for anyone tho!

Tell me about it! Thankfully it only happens occasionally.

Thanks - I will try! It’s for a work meeting but the journey is pretty at least!

I’m on to the final volume of the Persona 5: Mementos Mission manga now! It is SO good! I know I’ve recommended it before but really, if you like P5 should definitely read this!!! Not sure it was necessary to make Akechi look as pretty as he does on the cover, but never mind 🤭

Xenoblade is a good game because sometimes you're minding your own business when suddenly you encounter Inconceivable Jimmy, a lizard who is slightly larger than average Inconceivable Jimmy proceeds to beat your ass while the best song in the world plays

Had a blast returning to my old student union to see Cake last night! They are incredible live if you ever get the chance. Also props to the audience for complying with the request not to take photos or videos during the show - it was such a refreshing change!

I’ve decided to cosplay as Junah for the Metaphor ReFantazio concert in January, and I’d forgotten just how fun it is trawling through listings for random gloves, fans, wigs, headbands etc. And I actually mean that. I find it incredibly fun!!!

Wow so the Zelda concert is coming to both Glasgow and Edinburgh? That seems slightly unnecessary to me (they are very near each other!), but hey why not!!

Guess the Goldfinches have started to flock for the winter. Little charmers 😊 #birds

When Gandalf says ‘you have to decide what to do with the time given to you’ but I’m just on my sofa, sipping a beer, watching Lord of the Rings for the 3 billionth time it does sometimes make me stop and think about my life choices 😅

That is so cool! I love how playing a video game can lead to so many other things 😊

Just had my travel booking request form rejected because it was signed using e-signatures instead of being hand signed. When people say the NHS needs modernising they are not joking 😅

Thought I’d get in on the #My9Games thing! Might do the anime one later 😀

My 9 Games list - the games that shaped who I am. They are as follows:

Guitar Hero: Smash Hits
Persona 5
Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE
Tekken 5
The Secret of Monkey Island
Civilization
Final Fantasy IX
Resident Evil 4
Xenoblade Chronicles X

This is so cool, such a varied selection! I had no idea you’d feature a Guitar Hero game, something from that series would probably be the first thing I’d pick 😀

Shoot the Rookie @pix1001.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Got this for some light holiday reading 😊 The first volume was an absolute riot, I highly recommend the Mementos Mission manga series to any Persona 5 fan!!

I can go weeks or months without looking at the fic I’m writing but when I’m into it I can’t think about anything else!!! It’s going to be the longest thing I’ve ever written (apart from dissertation 😅) and I’m worried I don’t know the source material well enough, but I hope I can make it good!

Shoot the Rookie @pix1001.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

It must mean something when your pen runs out midway through writing a word in a fanfic right? The word was ‘letter’. Perhaps I should make the letter in question haunted or something. I mean, it was already from someone the protagonist believed to be dead, so… 😅

Awesome! I’m on the fence about buying Kaiji. I do love it but I’m not sure I ever want to watch it again 😅 Hopefully my commission from All the Anime is in the post 😂

Shoot the Rookie @pix1001.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

That is so fun! And yeah it is super catchy and has so much energy! Thank you for sharing and for taking part this week 😊

Yes, but naming it Akihiko or Shinji would not be.

If you enjoy shedding tears then £6.99 for Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna is absurdly excellent value for money 😛 Can’t wait for my copy to arrive 😅

That is an excellent choice for chorus day! I love how much of the 2:09 runtime is devoted to the chorus, and also how the chorus itself is pretty straightforward, so you can pick it up immediately and then bop along with it! Thank you so much for sharing and for joining in this week 😀

Ooh! Yes that is a catchy, bombastic chorus! Love the singer’s voice as well. Thank you for sharing - it is great to have you take part even if it is only for one day 😀

Reply with 🫶 and I’ll give you a letter to list your 4 favourite characters!! :D I got: M

Melia from the Xenoblade Chronicles series

Nice choice! That has a great sweeping chorus for sure! Thanks for sharing and for being a part of songshare this week 😊

Yeah, I think everything is almost certainly fine, it’s just that it is so quiet on the news front! Tickets do often go on sale around this time, but the dates are slightly later for Glasgow again this year so I think we’ll just need to wait a little longer. Hope to hear something soon though!

Happy birthday 🥳🎉 I hope you have a wonderful day filled with cute idols 🌈

I have this song filed under ‘songs I’d be too embarrassed to share with my family but will share with my online friends over and over again’ 😛

That is an absolute bop 😂 Dancing seems appropriate as it seems to mostly be about dancing! Great pick, thank you for sharing!
