10 years ago, I saw Sufjan Stevens live for this tour. This time around, having recently gone thru my own brush with death, this album really hit me 😢😭😭 Thx @pitchblackplayback.bsky.social for hosting the 'Carrie and Lowell' 10th Anniversary Edition listening party ✨️

This was something else! An intense, layered sensory experience like nothing I’ve experienced before. I felt like Miss Simone was singing only to me 🙏🏼 Bring us Leonard Cohen, Dalida, Sade. Bring Fairuz & AbdelHalim Hafez to #Brighton and I’ll love you forever 💖 @pitchblackplayback.bsky.social

And of course it’s one I’ve owned and played ever since it was released, so hearing new things was a surprise. Thanks to @pitchblackplayback.bsky.social at Phoenix Arts Club, and Lou whose idea it was to take me.

An interesting first time experience. A Pitch Black Play Back, where you listen in the dark wearing an eye mask with others, to an album all the way through. No talking, no phones, no singing. Just the album through a big sound system. In this case Blood On The Track. A revelation.

Thank you @pitchblackplayback.bsky.social and @thecure.com that was a perfect escape from the Xmas madness. Loved every minute of it. I’m no audiophile, but I think it sounded awesome! 👏 👏 Thanks for the eye mask too, partner’s present sorted!!

@pitchblackplayback.bsky.social @thecure.com Thank you for the incredible experience this solstice. I lost my identity weaving through the dimensions of sound at Endsong - loved all of it, thank you 🖤

Well, I put on my eyeliner and looked out my best lipstick, and off I went to @pitchblackplayback.bsky.social to listen to #TheCure #SOALW in cinema sound in the dark. It was wonderful, heard sounds in it I hasn't noticed, and huge emotional impact. Long round of applause at the end.
