Thinking very hard about that post that's like "your mama plays with toy mouse. and feather on stick"

This is all of my selfships!!! My fictional others were partners I had in a past life, and my current relationship to them is more a nostalgic reflection on the time we spent together :)

It’s not going to hurt you to use someone’s correct pronouns, add a ramp to your restaurant, or learn some basic phrases in Spanish. Americans act like including someone means they’re surrendering part of themselves.

For those people wondering where to get fabric and yarn with the Joann closures, a few suggestions: -local knitting/crafting groups (check your local library) -thrift stores -garage and yard sales -flea markets -local Buy Nothing and swap groups -local theater departments -fiber festivals and fairs

I just downloaded egge, it's a very small community and seems to be largely ex-Venties currently populating it. You can follow me if you want @Kurt!

how does one ask for kindness?

a traditional pen and ink drawing of a coyote looking upwards with eyes wide and mouth slightly open. a burst of color in white, yellow, orange, pink, and blue (painted in gouache) imperfectly bisects its head

rant thread on this from ur local autistic with a special interest in atmospheric science: cutting climate research isnt just covering up global warming to promote oil production (as bad as that is on its own) but as anti-climate change people loovveee to point out: +

Lately I've been really into making like. Character lists for specific OCs? Trying to break them down to what I know about them I guess. It's been a nice exercise in learning more about my characters, and I'm hoping it'll make them more rounded when I'm writing. Here's part of one list:

A bulleted list:

slow to pick up new ideas
very high standards for himself and others
neat freak
nonjudgmental
cerebral
curious
encouraging
skeptical about instincts
lies by omission
discusses things too much (rather than just doing them)
tends to forget about people he isn't super close to
seems distant and out of reach often
compartmentalizes to shit
only cries in private when frustrated or sad
hates showing vulnerability, "bad side"
hates showing "ugly parts"
goes logic mode when upset
excellent mediator
projects infallibility, rarely shows negative emotions

between you and me, this is part of Adesanya's list!

I loooove giving my OCs character flaws 🥰🥰🥰 I love making them short-sighted and annoying and unintentionally cruel 🥰🥰🥰 I love carving them into complex people with problems!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for not responding to so many messages recently. I've been pretty much dysfunctional lately. (Turns out I have bronchitis and it has thrown a massive wrench into my life as of late)

it frustrates me how often trans women think our value is based on if we martyr ourselves. we don’t need anymore martyrs; the state takes too many of us as it is. what we need is more trans women who grow old. elderly matriarchs talking shit & drinking together on a porch as our grandkids play.

Genuinely love love love when a cryptid doesn't have some scary lore or strange power it's just like. Weird farm animal. yes!

0130

Also. There is a European cryptid called the jumart, which is a supposed hybrid between a horse and a cow. Most alleged jumarts in history were found to be hinnies.
