In p-adics -a/b is also a pure repeating pattern to the left. I've been a bit slow to see that it is the same pattern. Eg 1/19 = .024024024... base 7, and -1/19= ...024024024. in 7-adics. 000

We literally can't give most of ours away. After a few hundred to friends and a restaurant chef we know, the rest are compost. Delicious smelling compost! 001

It's been help to think in terms of dimensional analysis. Ie if u, v and w are functions, w = u + v has the "dimension" function, whereas w(x) = u(x) + v(x) had the "dimension" number. 120
