Quarantine is over for our newest foster and the boys finally got to meet and play this morning. I’ve been fostering a 3 month old panleuk-exposed (highly contagious, potentially lethal feline virus) kitten and he finally cleared quarantine this morning!

Yesterday, I suddenly got extremely ill. Today we confirmed that I have pneumonia again and had a very not fun conversation about my likelihood of surviving this crisis given how weak my body is. Spoiler: odds aren’t great. But then I saw this sweet goose family on my way home, and that helped

I don’t think I’ve introduced him here yet. This is my little foster failure. Julian Patatas. Named for my book series, Ender’s Game, and, of course, my favorite TV program, @taskmaster.tv We started fostering him when he was just a few days old. He’s a literal nightmare but I love him so much

Last Tuesday my sweet Kacie Kay fell out bed and became disoriented and unable to walk. Thursday she was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer. She’s still eating (though she can’t chew) & drinking well. There’s no treatment but we have found a medication cocktail that’s keeping comfortable

Since Kacie can’t get up on my bed anymore, we moved my mattress onto the floor in the living room and add cushions all around just in case she falls off or doesn’t want to step up.

My friends got Kacie an emotional support bread pillow. It is the perfect chin rest.
