Getting sick and tired of AI in the TTRPG space? Don't want your DnD feed polluted with shit, same-y looking images? Subscribe to my artisanal, home-grown blocklist, full of pathetic cunts that lack integrity and only wish to make money, get your attention, and pretend they're real artists!

A drawing of my fiancé and I's sonas, Vale Drake and my still unnamed tiefling!

An upper body portrait of two humanoids with their heads leaning together. The one on the left has pale skin, short blond hair and an old wound over the left side of their face that leaves the socket exposed and their ear torn. In the place of their eye, in the socket is a blue flame. Their other eye is still intact and is deep blue. The one on the right has chin-length dark brown hair, orange-brown slitted eyes, pointed ears, goat-like horns, and a scar across the bridge of their nose. They are looking at each other fondly, and the background is a blue and reddish blur of bokeh effects.

A refreshing sight in a world of hate. Galway, Co. Galway, Ireland.

A few highlights from the Great Atlantic Way today. Co. Clare, Ireland.

Karst limestone fields work dramatic clouds in the sky providing a backdrop.

Burren cliffs with waves crashing against the mossy, grass-covered rocks.

I'm working on designing a new sona for myself! I'm happy with the look, but I'm still debating the name. I want something androgynous and either naturey or Celtic/medieval/fae sounding, but nothing has stuck so far. Originally I was going with Revenant, but it's not quite there.

An androgynous tiefling druid figure wearing a wolf skull as a helmet and a coyote skull as a pauldron. A large black and silver canid looking creature is beside them. It has a glowing cyan underbelly and has moss and mushrooms growing on its back. Its head is an exposed wolf with ram horns and the runes Mannaz (self) and Ansuz (leadership) scrawled into the bone. Its paws appear to be a mix of dog and lizard. They are the same character in different forms.

Tasha's Hideous Laughter is the best spell I've ever taken for a dnd character. It's great for snapping people out of mind control, or at the very least preventing them from being controlled until someone else can snap them out. It's come in clutch for about 1/3 of all combats Kit's been in.

- Not much is known about the pre-sleep world, as most who are awakened have lost their memories. Some structures and tech remains from that time, but most of Rastaria is in an era similar to Victorian Europe. Guns, cars, and electric infrastructure exist, but are somewhat rare.

020

Pinegully🌲 Commissions Open! @pinegully.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

- One of the biggest historical events in Rastaria is something called "The Great Sleep." Humanity decided to try to use technology to kill the gods, and so the gods put a hard reset on everything and put the world to sleep for an unknown amount of time.

110

Pinegully🌲 Commissions Open! @pinegully.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

- We realized that a lot of the official 5e dnd lore made no sense for our world, so we've been rewriting every single race's history to fit this universe. We're planning on taking on the history of the different planes and realms next.

120

Pinegully🌲 Commissions Open! @pinegully.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

- It's called "Rastaria" because we wanted to make a world where we could build onto just about infinitely, and had the idea to make the map for it one big vector file, so we, being the goofy graphics designers that we were, decided to name it after...Raster graphics. Vectaria didn't sound right ok?

Fun facts about Rastaria, my partner and I's homebrew DnD universe! - My partner didn't want to deal with time zones, so the planet most of the campaigns take place on is shaped like a cone with a volcano at the center that births the sun every morning.

It's about time, honestly. We desperately need some strict regulations in place for this stuff to protect creatives. It has never been harder to find a job.

Creative industries in general are really not in a good place right now. It sucks because even veterans with literal decades of experience and absolutely stellar work are struggling to get employment. I've never seen this many layoffs before. It's insane.

What's really unfortunate is that the parent company of the game studio I was working for took me off of that project and now has me doing marketing. It's a tech company, and I am constantly writing and making graphics about AI for their social media page. I just wanted to make video games 😭

131

Pinegully🌲 Commissions Open! @pinegully.bsky.social · 05/08/2025

That's rough. 😬 Tbh I would rather see public domain clip art on a knickknack than anything from midjourney. Even if an artist isn't getting paid, at least in that case their freely given work lives on.
