Managed to totally ditch them before the AI boom. You probably already know but just in case, there are some great free alternatives. Ps, Ai, Id - Affinity, Krita PrPro - DaVinci, KdenLive (not kidding, it is surprisingly feature rich) Ae - Pikimov Lr - RapidRaw, Darktable Au - Reaper, Audacity

the native extrusion effect would be best, but your could work as well. Do you take care of fixing bad glyphs paths? I struggle with some letters that get badly triangulated, see picture

100

Pikilipita @pikilipita.com · 17/11/2025

Thanks, I need both: - as meshes to display flat glyphs - as shapes when extruding letters (see image) because threejs ExtrudeGeometry can only be applied on shapes. The issue I'm having with my own implementation is that some glyphs are badly triangulated, so alternatives are welcomed.

Pikilipita @pikilipita.com · 14/11/2025

Hey! Your threejs text renderer looks promising, does it produces meshes, shapes, or both?
