When I was a kid I’d get a ton of cards in the mail for my birthday or I’d get all sorts of gifts… now I’m lucky to get one card. Kind of sucks growing up. It’s like… I have friends but we all have so much going on. My family (aunts/uncles) is kind of distant. I feel pretty lonely :(

I’m learning to take nothing for granted. As I get older, everything moves so much faster I’ve started too many “new chapters” in such a short amount of time. How long will I be employed here? Will I stay in this house for long? Will I lose more this year? Will I win more this year? I’m so curious.

Life is fragile, it’s scary. There’s so much beauty to it. People are complicated. I want to be happier. I want to have less stuff. I want to feel light and healthy. I want to love. I want to be loved- I want to feel love again, I had a taste of it… it was so beautiful, but I let it wither and die.

I have a lot to reflect on. I hope to make this a better year for myself. I’ve endured too many nightmares, loss, pain, self-doubt, severe depression, anxiety. I finally feel in tune with who I truly am. I have more control over myself now. I’m still learning about myself. What do I want in life?

As I start this new chapter of my life… I realize this is such a big new start for me. It’s so surreal. I’m really on my own for the first time. I don’t have anyone major in my life that is right there with me. I don’t have a lot to fall back on. It’s new. It’s exciting. It’s terrifying.

Sad times for this dawg. I quit my new job for mental health reasons and my husband wants a divorce. I have to build a new life for myself. I’m in the grieving stages while trying to find new work to start my life back up. I have time to downsize my belongings and find a new home. I’m so scared.
