I highly recommend that everyone asking for a Bluesky #verification system use the existing system of domain verification. If it's good enough for the web, it's good enough for you. After all, each Bsky handle is just a URL. It's easier than you probably think.

I know it's a little early for us west coasters but I figured it would be good to wake up to for those out east.

PIGS is always on the lookout for interesting weather phenomena and we have a great one for this year's Trans Day of Visibility.

logging off now to avoid getting sucked into repeatedly demonstrating that no, really, shooting down a drone is a federal crime even if you’re very mad about it (and is a very dangerous thing to do in populated areas) and all I can do about it is suggest writing your legislators

Do not try to jam drones, the FCC will come to your house and you will not like what happens next

@pigsflies.com is now our new handle, thanks to the AT Protocol. I encourage everyone with their own domain to do this. blueskyweb.xyz/blog/4-28-20...

The rain here in the PNW really can put a damper on drone services and small UAV flight in general. Drones like the PowerEgg allow pilots to fly rain or shine. Upgrades to systems like the DJI Matrice series and upcoming drones should provide even more water protection. a.co/d/003rO0L

Today was a downright terrible day to fly here on PIGS home turf, but that doesn't mean we don't continuously observe weather conditions.
