It all depends on the task at hand. I think record and schema based makes a lot of sense for my sync/replication use cases, and Jelly-RDF just delivers here. I'm a bit sceptical towards CBOR-LD but that's because I don't have much experience with the embedded use cases they're talking about.

Seeing the quality differences in AI output from high-tier AI and low-tier AI, I wonder whether a course that allows students to use AI can provide the same learning experience to everyone. How do we make this fair in a university setting?

Jelly-RDF allows to encode RDF Messages in a binary protobuf format. I was always sceptical whether that could really make a difference in the JS world, as I found parsing N-Quads was already quite fast and compresses nicely, yet... It turns out I was wrong. Repo: github.com/pietercolpae...

So, @anneschuth.nl called Linked Data harmful. Luckily we both prefer building over arguing, so I wrote a rebuttal with a future-oriented architecture and working prototype. The challenge: build the same data-integration pipeline without RDF. Your move, Anne. 😉 pietercolpaert.be/linkeddata/2...

A rebuttal to a blog post of Anne Schuth, I which I argue that RDF will earn its place in real neurosymbolic systems. Its best argument is eventual interoperability across organizations.

Creating the standard is often just the last step once we already agree on 90% of it. Don’t equate #interoperability with #standardization. The process of creating interoperable solutions involves so much more.

Standardization isn’t something you can just throw effort at and expect it to deliver. I often compare it to writing a hit song: being good helps, having a great marketing strategy helps, timing helps, having some funding helps, and so on.

There’s a tension between being semantically rich, and being semantically aligned. Eventual #interoperability is a new term I propose to indicate that you can do one after the other pietercolpaert.be/interoperabi...
Reusable specifications stack: project goals → interaction patterns → shapes → vocabularies → alignments. The burden of aligning data has always been on the integrator. Linked Data is not about shifting this burden to the data producers entirely, but about distributing the burden equally in the ecosystem.
