Speaking of bitches, I had a great,gruff old malamute mix who was an incredible surrogate mom to dozens of fosters. Sadie saved lives by making them adoption-ready and allowing me to foster so many. She was the Assistant Boss Bitch (ABB), though one could argue that she was the BB and I was the ABB.

Today, I made a reference to Hill St Blues on a FB page and got the written equivalent of a blank stare. Oops.

I was ignorant, too. The shelter where I volunteered in the aughts put down every pit, so I never met any. (It was run by complete as-holes, but a bunch of us volunteered because we could save lives.) In 2005, went to help Katrina dogs. Surrounded by pits, I took one home & fell in love.

I know how it is. Thank goodness I’m a sturdy gal, because mine sure do think I’m furniture.

Although I guess it would also be a problem if one denied them on that basis (e.g., “ You’ve shown extremely poor judgment by sexing with your boss. I’m giving the promotion to someone else.” —boss).
