Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 01/08/2025People insult you for no reason (not talking to or about them, never heard of them before in my life) and you tell them to go fuck their mother and you're the one being labeled as rude. Bitch labeler: I was minding my own fucking business. 120
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 27/07/2025so apparently bsky team pulled out the plc tools from the self-hosting install script so what I did where I changed my pds address from advanced-eschatonics.com (apex of domain) to a subdomain pds.advanced-eschatonics.com was guaranteed to break my shit. 120

Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 27/07/2025This is how I feel every time people use conspiracy theory as a pejorative. It's basically an authoritarian command to shut down your brain and deny that there is such a thing as intent. 031

Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025My living room looks like a millionaire live there, except maybe for the duct tape around the windows, but it works! That's what it's for! 130
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025I need new windows really badly. Putting as little torque on these things as I can manage. 000
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025Ended up having to use a mallet to get the bolt through the holes of the AC rest I bought too this morning. I was getting a return label for it and just decided to go ape and force this thing to work for me. It worked. AC is sitting on it right now. Wouldn't want to install it without a rest. 100

Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025I was getting big mad earlier this week with the whole experience but I just plugged servo directly into the servo driver and recentered it, did the same to the leader because obviously there's some miscommunication here, recalibrated both of them and it's working quite well again. No jerky start. 100
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025Speaking of, in the spirit of avoiding the AC and talking about my robot arm that I built from parts, when I was using it just now (because I talked about it in the above post), the miscalibration got to be so bad that the screws came out of the elbow lmfao. I didn't even get upset though. 100
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025Installing the new window AC in the living room and since this is going to be permanent I'm being more anal about it than the robot arm I slapped together last week. 130

Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025The socialist advice of "just be poor until the revolution it's safer" is very very very bad advice. 100
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025Anyone who tells you differently is not giving you good advice. 100
Thomas Wood @phytomech.com · 26/04/2025My thoughts on whether teachers are working class: Being working class is not a badge of honor. Not having money or resource is not something to feel pride over. You want to find the job with the highest salary and most authority you can and if at all possible to exit the labor market entirely. 110
