😅I do prefer those! But I make Pop-Tarts for my spouse’s weekday breakfasts sometimes. He’s disabled, and I help him get to his job on time by making breakfast for him.

YES! And the flaming Pop-Tart was surprisingly hard to extinguish! We unplugged the toaster oven, yanked out the rack & kept slapping at the flames with the spatula. Finally, we got the fire out, but wow, slightly scary morning drama! Different note: The Flaming Pop-Tarts would be a rad band name🤘😎

Despite many shitstorms along the way, my spouse & I made it to 30 years of marriage, so we celebrated with a weekend in Chicago. We mostly lounged around but did a tiny bit of sightseeing. Two of the sights that resonated most with me (Chicago lampposts FTW!):

It’s a toaster oven. I used a spatula to plate the Pop-Tarts, but one of them had some crust broken off the edge, and the filling leaked out onto my fingertip. OWWW.😫 (Oh, and the Pop-Tarts weren’t even for me — I was making breakfast for my spouse.😬)

Normally we never buy the Daisy brand of French onion dip, but it’s on sale at the supermarket across the street from our new apartment, so I bought a couple tubs Saturday night (1 for my spouse, 1 for me). We’ve already bought 2 more…🤤 (This may become a problem😆)

I typically don’t eat McDonald’s food, but right now, the FRIED apple pie is back, and it is 🔥 Every bit as delicious and craveworthy as I had remembered it… that crispy, crackly, bubbly crust is just 🤌 Too bad these little rectangular slices of heaven are back “for a limited time only”😭
