iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I have decided to revive my sketching account (@phrix-sketches.bsky.social). It'll mostly be filled with figure drawings from my warmup sessions, so if you're interested in that kinda stuff, check it out.

I am open for fully-rendered "Surprise Me!" Commissions over on VGen: vgen.co/Phrix_Phrox/... #VGenOpen #CommsOpen #Art #FurryArt #NSFWArt

A NSFW digital illustration depicting Sybil from the game Pseudoregalia. The drawing emphasizes and focuses primarily on her butt.

A slightly more tasteful digital illustration, this time showing Ankha from Animal Crossing reclining on a couch.

Thank ya! I was focusing on shape design for quite a bit of it, so I'm glad to see it recognized.

Wanted to finish this drawing of Sybil from Pseudoregalia last week but other shit got in the way. Glad I managed to finish it at least, even if I don't quite like some bits of it. #Art #FurryArt #NSFWArt

A NSFW digital painting of Sybil from the game Pseudoregalia. Sybil is stretching her arms and is turned facing away from the viewer, with her butt placed prominently in our line of sight.

Ankha's birthday is today! I wanted to draw a vignetted illustration of Ankha in time for her birthday, ended up getting it done way too early and had to just sit on the drawing for a bit. #Art #FurryArt

A vignetted digital illustration of Ankha from Animal Crossing reclining on a torn-up sofa and looking bored at the viewer.

That said, Smaugust did spark an interest in me. I want to get better at character design, so I plan on practicing that in between illustrations this month. My brain is mostly filled with rulers and perspective grids at this point, I need to draw characters against blank backgrounds to cleanse it.

Phrix Phrox 🔞 @phrixphrox.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Speaking of distracted, Smaugust. I only did two drawings before getting sucked into the rabbit hole of learning perspective and making that csp tool. I'd like to say I'll try better next year, but who knows what I'll be doing by then. Maybe I'll try another one of these themed months, it was fun.

Been thinking of doing this for a while, but I might try to start doing short, monthly retrospective posts each month. I get distracted easily and the months have been slipping past me, so maybe typing this kinda stuff out will help solidify things in my brain, even if only for a short while.

I finally finished making that Perspective and Composition template i had mentioned nearly 2 weeks ago! You can download it here for Free, so if you have CSP try it out and tell me what you think. vgen.co/Phrix_Phrox/...

#PhrixArt #Smaugust Sabaton Wyrms live in and around underwater volcanic vents. The deep sea vents provide them with the chemicals they subsist on and is responsible for the iron plates covering their foot. They have a false eye beneath their horns, but researchers can't agree on what it does.

#PhrixArt #Smaugust Sandfish Drakes rest beneath the sands of the Boiling Desert. Periodically, gases are pushed upwards from deep underground, fluidizing large pockets of the desert sand. The Sandfish Drake then swims through the sand, dragging down animals caught unaware by the shifting sands.

A drawing of a sand-burrowing drake that looks like a sandfish skink.

Between constant headaches, life stuff, trying to adjust to a new studying routine, and playing fighting games, I haven't been drawing anything finished. I am planning on doing some smaugust stuff though, seems like it'd be a nice change of pace from my usual drawings.

Wanted to try a new process for this one to try and push what my colored pencil brushes could do. What a nightmare, likely not doing that again, but at least the drawing turned out alright. #PhrixArt #PhrixFanart

Mushroom people was another suggestion I got. The King Oyster one was an attempt to draw the Dark Souls mushroom people from memory that I pivoted into what it is now. #PhrixArt

Two colored sketches of mushroom people designs. One design is based off of King Oyster mushrooms and the other is based off of Common Ink Cap mushrooms.

Someone suggested I draw a Black Mage, and I only realized partway through the drawing that they probably meant a classic Black Mage instead... anyways, here's Vivi! #PhrixArt #PhrixFanart

Hey no worries, I appreciate the kind words! As for the studies, i dont really wanna post em. I find keeping them to myself makes it easier for me to be looser and more experimental since its for my eyes only.

Phrix Phrox 🔞 @phrixphrox.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

Been shaking off the rust by drawing lots of gestures and studies, but when it comes to making a more complete drawing i get stumped on what to even draw. I kinda wanna draw at least one mermaid for MerMay, but other than that what else would you all want to see me draw?

Update: Been healing well, thankfully looking like I won't be needing a 3rd surgery. Got a cheap standing desk and got it all set up, art shall hopefully resume sooner rather than later.

Fixed up some stuff, not too happy with the arm muscles but it is what it is. The sketch was going to be the finished version, but i finished it too quickly and wanted to keep drawing, so i made a colored version as well. #PhrixArt #PhrixOCs

After 2 surgeries and ALMOST 2 years of recovery time, I'm finally doing well enough health-wise to get back to drawing regularly. Probably not enough to make more polished stuff, but I needed to hold off on that stuff anyways. Only doing studies or full illustrations kept burning me out.
