I picked up this Lamy 1.1mm stub nib a few months back, and it wrote smooth and wet, but it was kind of rounded. It wrote like a broad and didn't have the line variation I was expecting. Exhausted but determined to do something that wasn't work, I busted out my diamond stone and micro mesh.

I've wanted a 24 for quite a while but had been waiting for one at the right price. This one came as a set with a Montblanc 24 fountain pen, 26 mechanical pencil and 28 ballpoint, all in their original case. I've already restored the pencil, and it looks good and new now! So happy with it!

It's a Montblanc no26 from somewhere between 1965 and 1969.

I gave it a good polish last night and it looks like new.

I love its classic lines. It's so classy!

Spending the evening watching YouTube while polishing my new (to me) Montblanc 24 fountain pen. I picked this up on eBay a couple of weeks ago, and it arrived yesterday. It's in great shape overall, but someone left ink in it many years ago, which had dried and glued everything together.

My fountain pen is full of molten gold (said in the voice of Goldmember from Austin Powers) 😂 I had a couple of new inks arrive today and had to give this one a go before I went to bed. The shimmer is just insane! It's Van Diemen's Greek Heros Alexander. So cool 😍

New fountain pen day 😀 I know there's nothing special about the Hongdien C1, but I'd never tried one before, and there was a crazy good deal going on AliExpress the other day. I got this one shipped to my door for AUD $5.43 (USD $3.30)!!! Just crazy!

It has an extra-fine nib which is a little scratchy, but is super fine.

The ink is Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-Gaki.

Then there is a comparison of some handwriting using the Hongdoen C1 extra-fine, a Pilot Metropolitan fine and a Lamy Safari fine.

There's definitely something going on! The Edelstein inks are some of my favourites. I'll have to see if I can find some Wordsworth & Black inks to try here in Australia.

Google decided to remind me that 6 years ago today, I was finishing off this sweet FPV quadcopter build. Whilst most people were building 5 inch racers and freestyle builds, I was obsessed with efficient 7, 8 and 10 inch quads, high cruise speeds and long flight times on homemade 6s LiIon packs

It's 1am here in Melbourne, Australia, and I'm cooked. I had to have a play with my new fountain pen before bed, though. So far I'm loving it!!!😊 This is my first vac filler. I love the look of it and the nib is super smooth. I can't wait to get to work tomorrow so I can use it some more!

My new Asvine V126 fountain pen just arrived! I'm so excited to try this one out! Will it suppress my urge to buy a Pilot 823? Probably not, but I'm trying 😄 I won't get a chance to ink it until after work. I did take a couple of close-up shots of the nib, though, for anyone who is interested 😊

Apparently, I've had too much coffee to write smoothly this morning 😄 Anyway, it's a new nib and ink day! Here's a quick test of the 1.1mm stub nib and Lamy Dark Lilac ink I picked up the other day. So far, I'm enjoying both! I hope everyone on the fountain pen feed is having a wonderful day!

The nib seems like it will be fun. It's very smooth and quite wet. It doesn't have as much line variation as I expected. I might need to grab a 1.5 or 1.9mm nib next time.

Lamy Dark Lilac is a very nice dark purple ink. It has a very subtle green sheen on this 80gsm Rhodia paper. I like it!

One for the fountain pen feed 🖊️. Does anyone out there find the Lamy 2000 difficult to grip? I've had mine for almost a year and just haven't bonded with it. I find myself having to constantly adjust my grip to stop it creeping towards the nib. This makes me grip it tighter which becomes fatiguing.

One of my goals for this year is to improve my cursive handwriting. I hadn't used it for years and was a bit upset by how messy it had gotten when I wrote Christmas cards to my clients last year. I have a long way to go, but I'm getting there 😊

I'm seeing similar with my clients here in Australia. It seems like featured snippets are slowly being phased out in favour of AI overviews. Looking at Semrush Sensor, there's a clear downtrend in their occurrence.

I recently picked up a Mamiya 45mm f2.8 N lens that was described as "near mint" by the seller. It arrived dirty and felt super gritty and nasty to focus so last night I did a bit of surgery 😷🪛 It's much cleaner and focusing super smooth now👌 I can't wait to get out and shoot with it! #believeinfilm

I've been a McLaren fan for about 25 years and have been through some ups and a lot of downs. It's been a hell of a long time since I was able to say I was proud of my team. Last night's British GP qualifying was definitely one of those moments though 🧡 So excited for tonight's race!
