Neat things about tonight's almost full moon: - It will rise and set about as far south as you'll ever see it - It will never get very high in the sky (a mere +6 degrees above the horizon maximum in the north of England, for example). Some unique photo opportunities!
The almost full moon will remain low in the sky all night tonight as it coincides with the time of minimum lunar declination during the current "Great Lunar Standstill". Explore more at https://ephemer.is/low-moon
